I've said it before, I'll say it again, me and Daewoo get AK because we actually shoot them often. We use the mags we get, we shoot the ammo we buy. Rough guess is I go through around 1000 rounds of whatever I'm shooting a month, which isn't a lot for people who are seriously training in classes regularly but it is for people who just go plinking a few times a week.

If you don't have a receiver yet you can get a Nodak 6 degree folder which is proper for 5.5mm trunnion, otherwise you're basically fucked. Modifying a 4/4.5 degree whichever it is would require you to add material to the rear of the receiver

You really won't know until you try one. I can tell you this much, if there is any wobble, it won't be enough to cause feeding issues and will probably only be noticeable if you're trying really hard to move it around.

My LGS has a Yugo M70AB2, wood furniture underfolder, for like $700-$800.
As a first AK it is tempting, but I also like the SAM7UF, but there is a solid four or five hundred dollar difference between the two.

What do? Save the extra and go for the Arsenal, or get the Yugo sooner?

Also, if the bolt carrier is a little sticky and hangs up when pulled to the rear, is that just a sign of a not-so-used AK, or could the problem be something deeper?

I like the chrome lined barrel of the SAM, but aoart from that it doesn't offer a ton of advantages over a stamped gun such as the M70AB2, necessarily. And I don't shoot enough to wear a barrel out, nor do I fail to clean my firearm after shooting it or storing it for some time.
