They have regular community events, most of which are tailored towards certain groups in the ward like young men, young women, empty nesters, etc. If you fit in and get along with most of them (likely since each ward's demographics pretty uniform) then it can be great for social and professional networking as well as a support group for if life gets shitty. If you don't fit in, I bet it sucks.

I was five when I started killing small game and six when I started killing large game.
