Hey guys, i just finished my 80% lower and am running into issues.

Seems like either my LPK from PSA is not to spec or (more likely) i made some holes incorrectly.

The issue i am having is that the rear of my trigger is in the way of the selector switch. I can force it in, but that makes the trigger very stiff and removes all "play" from the trigger.

I was hoping i could get a recommendation on what i should do. I was thinking of cutting off a section of the rear end of the trigger.

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't have the piece with me.
But i had cocked the hammer back and there was still a bit of the trigger blocking the selector.

I can force the selector in, but at that point the rear of the trigger is just a hair away from hitting the selector(meaning i barely have room to pull the trigger and even after pulling the trigger, it does not allow me to move it much.

Carefully file the rear of the trigger until you can engage the safety when the hammer is cocked.

You should not be able to engage the safety when the hammer is dropped btw.


Before you do that you should check to make sure that floor of the lower isn't interfering with the trigger's movement.

Already posted this yesterday, but what does /arg/ think of a build similar in size and layout (I'm fine with other brands,) with this optic, as a versatile lightweight carbine for both distance work and closer ranges? I have shot optics and irons both eyes open for as long as I can remember no problem, so I'm wondering if the 3-9 Accupower is suitable for BAC like an ACOG up close, and if using holdover, rather than dialing, on the mil reticle is a sufficient solution for intermediate range work. Will an optic like this ruin the balance and offhand shooting characteristics of a light carbine? This will be my sixth AR project, and I'm looking to make it my last since I'm getting tired of trying to have a different rifle for every conceivable situation and would rather instead invest in one primary rifle and lots of practice.

I just put a memetech echo in my AR, I also bought a bunch of remanufactured ammo from freedom munitions. About 3 -5 shots per magdump for fire. There is a clear mark from where the firing pin hit.
