>buy $400 pistol
>Try to sell it for $650/ Wants to trade it for a $650+ pistol.
alternatively
>buy $500 ar
>cerakote and put airsoft accessories on it
>Want $950
Why is the vast majority of people selling guns so incredibly retarded?
Even people on craigslist don't ask for several hundred dollars over retail for their shit.
>>33305417
Greed.
>>33305417
You're paying for the privilege of filling out a cheeto stained Bill of Sale instead of a 4473
Love it when seller has used gun at something like $750, only $50 below retail new.
Offer 75% of retail to open negotiation.
FUCK OFF LOWBALLER! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU MADE AN OFFER! HOW INSULTING!
It's not like it costs him anything
I hate it too
I really wish one of these days gunbroker let you fucking screen people SO I DON'T HAVE TO KEEP LOOKING PAST THE SAME SHIT EVERY FUCKING DAY FOR THE LAST FUCKING YEAR
>>33305743
On all my gunbroker searches I always do NO RESERVE on the search. Eliminates a lot of that.
not that this is an excuse, but gunowners are pretty cheap bastards. some guys list high prices expecting to be negotiated.
>>33306119
When I sell shit it's usually because I need some cash, so I take however much I need and add $100. We usually meet in the middle, but sometimes I get asking price.
>>33305417
It's the same reason Brian Cashman put Jeter through wavers every year. If you ask for the moon, someone might be dumb enough to give it to you.
>>33305417
>be selling gun on armslist
> receive email
"what's ur best offer for this?"
MY BEST FUCKING OFFER IS WHAT I LISTED. IF YOU WANT TO TALK ME DOWN FROM THERE FUCKING TRY TO HAGGLE. I'M NOT GOING TO SPOON FEED YOU JESUS H CHRIST
>>33305417
If you're in NH come up to Kittery Trading Post, we have like 5000 used guns and 3000 new.
>>33306146
>need $500
>sell gun worth $2000 for $600
you can't possibly be this dumb
>>33305417
Anyone else thinking of getting a throwaway phone to troll these types?
>>33305716
alternatively
>WHATS YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR
you can make an offer
>YA BUT WHATS THE LOWEST YOULL TAKE
>>33306119
Only Boomers and Fudds do this. A guy in my area has been trying for 3 years to sell his sporterized m1917 for $900, which he thinks it worth because he shot an elk with it.
>>33305743
>RARE
>LQQK
>Not x not y not z
>Clips
There really needs to be a blacklist for sellers
>>33305417
>I KNOW WHAT I GOT
>>33305417
Kahr Arms is shit.
>>33305417
>rare WASR
>chink optic
>airshit bipod
>3 mags
>1200
Why do i even look at the listings anymore?
>>33305417
My local board has .22lr flippers trying to get .10cpr for bulk remington.
I trolled one of them and got my account banned. Had him meet me in a melanin american neighborhood. he got there and texted me. I told him that I was in the parking lot. He said that he was too. I got him to start honking his horn so I could find him. Then he said some black guys were approaching his vehicle so he was leaving.
>>33305417
Local one i got is for a used hk vp9. guy only wants 675 for kek. just bought a stainless usp9c for less than that...
>>33306286
Fuck off faggot.
>>33306119
There's listing it for more than it's worth to have some room for negotiating, but these people list them for way over and then get mad when you try to go lower.
>>33305417
I dont even...
>>33306755
>>33306755
You're doing God's work anon.
>>33306234
I won a gun from them on gunbroker. Nice people. They shipped it fast, too.
RIP Stampy
I just got a decent savage 24 for a good price, but yes, too much shit to sift through.
>on gunbroker
>search for Mauser 1914
Colt 1903 not Mauser dwm Luger Walther
RARE Stainless Bryco 32 like Walther ppk Mauser colt Browning
Mauser 1914 R@RE NAZI GUN $9001 starting bid
>>33307735
Wow that's a lot. I remember a few years ago, the officer 1911 Al Pacino used in Heat (blank firing gun) sold for around that much, and it came with real ivory grips. Kek.
>>33307735
>>33306598
what does this "LQQK" thing mean?
>>33307827
Sellers using stupid variations of LOOK
>>33305417
It's because gun owners always perpetuate the myth that "GUNS RETAIN THEIR VALUE JUST BUY IT YOU'LL GET YOUR MONEY BACK IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT."
Just like with a car, as soon as you buy it NOBODY is going to pay full price for it privately or otherwise. You can try but I doubt you'll sell it for the price you bought it for.
Remember, something is only as valuable as the price someone is willing to pay for it. Now that could be as much a $100 for a $500 gun, obviously it's going to vary, but when no one's buying and the only people who are interested are offering peanuts for it, well then you got your realistic value.
>>33308086
The problem was after each scare 600 dollar guns DID turn into 1000 dollar guns. Many gun "flippers" told their friends of their experiences of selling guns at crazy prices on armslist with people lining up to buy because of the perceived benefit of buying second hand to defeat the pseudo 4473 registry.
>>33306234
Got my C96 at Kittery, in unfireable condition. I guess I could have returned it in the 30 day window but I had to go back to college the next day and couldn't bring it back. Will take about $200 to have it rebarreled/chambered. Not exactly unexpected give the age of the gun and the history of their import (usage in China), and it was still a decent deal ($525)
