Nope, probably won't for another month or two honestly. I need to get the rear sight fixed, buy some mags that are worth a damn, and then actually get some 7.62. I've been set up for months expecting my first AK to be my Izzy 74, only to have this fall into my lap and catch me totally off guard. Sadly my first semiauto is not going to be an AK, it's an AR only because I don't have the money to get one whole. I honestly wish that you could get a barebones AK, like with the parts that require special tools already installed, but stuff like the bolt, gas system, grip, and whatnot are separate.

This is the closest one I found in regards to PSA. It still has a lot of things like the bolt and sights. I had to go with an AR because the most expensive part was a bare receiver for 120, and everything else past that didn't go above that. still working on it BTW

The top is a Kvar warsaw length black polymer stock. The next one is one of those newly manufactured Polish stocks. The middle one is a Bulgarian painted AK-74 wooden stock. The second to last is my WASR stock that I lightly refinished. The last one (the one attached to the rifle) is a refinished Romanian surplus stock. In person you can tell they're all almost identical except the polymer stock is quite a bit thinner and a bit narrower.

The only thing I've done to the rifle was put an Egyptian muzzle nut on it to get rid of the ugly IO plastered slant that came on it. I had a Romanian slant somewhere but I can't find it. Other than that the rifle is as is when I bought it. One of these days I'll either find an Egyptian slant, buy a Russian slant, or just pick up an AK builder one as they're close to Russians in look

I'm trying to find Egyptian mags, but they seem somewhat rare and unnecessarily expensive in most cases. I figure as long as I have a 7.62 rifle I should probably have a few beater mags for it aside from the cheap Korean it came with and the PMAG M3 I got this past weekend just to make sure I have something that'll feed properly.

How are the Polish mags compared to the other eastern European mags?

pro-tip for anyone with lower handguard wobble

Strip your rifle. Cut an AK74 gas tube spring and loop it onto the barrel. You will find it fits almost perfectly into the handguard retainer, doesn't interfere with the cleaning rod hole or anything.

Just adding the spring gave the retainer enough tension to make my B10 go from slight wobble to rock solid.

After several hours in paint I completed this instructional picture

Just take some pliers and snip at the red line. From there you can easily get it around the barrel. If you were looking down the barrel this is the orientation I placed it in the lower handguard retainer.
