So theres is a 2 question thread.
Im not technically a gun virgin as I was a boy scout and was very familiar around 12gauges/14/16
.22 rifles., muzzle loaders,30-06. And my uncle has let me shoot a .45 /9mm handgun.
But as it comes to terminology like what a bore is im not too familiar.
Is there any good books to read or just read wikis?
Also the main question of the thread.
What should you look for when buying a gun to make sure its a good gun to not get ripped?
As I plan on buying an AK/AR shortly most likely used id like to know what parts of the gun to make sure arent damaged and what not.
Really would appreciate some non dickish advice

Also, YouTube Hickok45
And as far as what to look for, do your research, read up on the gun you want, watch some videos on it.

ITT OP doesn't know what stores are. He also doesn't know what online retailers are. Im sure he doesn't even know that in retail usually prices of the same make and model go for around the same price. If you were going to look for some snowflake super crazy rare rifle i would understand the post, but dudestop being a lazy fag and look it up.

To learn about firearms, try using Wikipedia. Start off anywhere, like "handgun", and start reading. If you want to learn about something more specific, just click the blue links in the artlices. Save any good pages you find for further reference.
As far as buying guns, most of the time you'll find the lowest price online. Once you've narrowed down what you want using the internet, go to a local guns tore that carries it and check it out in person. If you like it, go home and order it online.
