Has the ATF ever actually nailed someone for an unregistered SBR? Or worse, shouldering an AR pistol? Asking for a unscrupulous friend
>>

>ar pistol
I know of a single case in which a melaninfriend was charged with sbr for having a cuckbrace AR. It was stolen and used in a home invasion. In CA I think. No idea if it stuck. They do like to ultra-charge people in those circumstances.

ha ha no hassle for SBRs, got you good there didn't we? ..right?

>charge with sbr for having a cuck brace
I thought the brace turns it into a "pistol"
>>
>>33294172
No, the lower being a 'pistol' does that, cuckbrace and co then becoming your only option other than a naked buffer tube.
>>
>>33294153
The more I learn of the laws the other side of the st Lawrence the less I understand
>>
>>33294172
a pistol lower can have the brace. a rifle lower can have a brace.

BUT if you put a rifle lower on a pistol upper, the ATF will shoot your dog.
>>
>>33294438
What's the difference between a pistol lower and a rifle lower?
>>
>>33294768
buffer tube; pistol lower will not accept standard stocks
>>
>>33293995
What about 922r compliance? It seems like such bullshit we can't import arms. It makes no sense if it would have to go through a regular background check anyways. Open up the free market. We give arms to terrorists for free, such bullshit and hypocrisy from our tyrannical government.

Not true. Any receiver extension can be used for a pistol lower.
Stop posting if you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.
>>
>>33294818
10 rounds with LAR mags, 15 with .50 beowulf, 30 if you don't give a fuck and put a drill to the rivet.

it's not the worst thing in the world. there's definitely more retarded shit like ARs, as Restricted guns, not being shootable outside of a range.
>>
>>33293995
>Has the ATF ever actually nailed someone for an unregistered SBR?
Yep, all the fucking time as a matter of fact.
>>
>>33294878
Why do you say that?

Marks on the paperwork.
>>
>>33294865
>30 if you don't give a fuck and put a drill to the rivet.
Yeah, if you wish to get assraped by the RCMP and Crown Prosecution Office.

>>
>>33294878
When, where, and how would the atf be nailing people for unregistered SBR's 'all the time'?
>>
>>33294911
There is no physical difference between a pistol lower or a rifle upper. Just which box is checked on the paperwork for the transfer when you buy it; rifle, pistol, or other if its stripped.
>>
>>33294902
my point was in something like shtf/wrol that would be the least of your concerns. 5/30 mags doesn't spoil the experience anywhere near as much as the loads of other stupid shit in the firearms act. using it as a jab at leafs doesn't really get to me in that sense.
>>
>>33294946
Meant rifle lower.

I'm not even going to read this whole thread.

Is it REALLY worth it to you to risk getting fucked by the long dick of the law over having a neat little rifle?

If so, what would be the point? You couldn't really show it off, they'd eventually find out.

Assume they don't find out. Is there really a purpose SO important you want it for that you simply cannot wait for the paperwork to go though?

Tickle from Moonshiners.

14" shotgun his buddy gave him. Was going to give it to his buddy's grandson since his buddy died.

He got nailed for it, but suspended sentence. Think he ended up in jail anyway for a probation violation.
>>
>>33293995
I'm an LEO and I've never seen it. That's the ATF's job.
>>
>>33294946
All AR-15 lowers are other unless there's an upper on it.
>>
>>33294997
He had a criminal record, kept it in plain view and lied to the officer and said it was a prop gun. I would like to see someone with NO record get nailed at a range or better yet, private property before I get nervous.
>>
>>33295001
Not necessarily. Some states have local laws against short barrels as well. My state (ND) has a law that essentially mirrors the NFA, outlawing SBRs, SBS, etc unless you have federal approval.
>>
>>33295060
I'm in Missouri, we don't bother with that.
>>
>>33293995
My understanding is that if you made one and kept your mouth shut about it you'd probably be okay. Just don't rob someone with it or post a video/picture of it on facebook. The ATF has bigger things to worry about than Joe Blow with his 14.5" M4 clone. Still, if you get pulled over and you have it you're prolly gonna get fucked.
