Every MiG-29 ever shot down in combat was the 9-12B which had basically useless radar and no IFF.

The one major advantage the MiG-29 had over any other western aircraft was the ability to take 4 high off bore sight R-73 Archer missiles combined with the helmet mounted sight which even the west determined would have made the Fulcrum almost in beatable in WVR combat. Yet, not one MiG-29 ever went into combat with them.

You can "muh monkey models" all you want, doesn't change the fact that it is 100% true.

Please don't take this as me trying to convince you that the Mig-29 or other Russian planes are better than US counterparts. It's possible for me to say a plane is good without it meaning I'm saying another is shit.
