Scanning Breitbart and I stumbled across an article about New Mexico Private sales.

However, regardless of that, look at this guys gun.

LOOK AT IT!!

Who the fuck mounts a $2500 acog/reflex to a mini-14?!?! I'm sure it works, and sure, you could fight with it, but it just seems really crazy to me.

and that offset...

article if anyone cares

Breitbart's target demography.

Fudds meet call of duty?
>>
>Old guy in the desert

Dude probably just loves his mini-14, and felt like throwing some nice optics on it. I doubt he's particularly concerned with them being "too nice" or whatever.
>>
>They still dont make ACOGs with removable bases so you don't have to mount them 50 feet high on non-ARs
>>
>>33292832

To be clear, I like the guy in the picture

>Dresses like Cowboy
>isn't afraid to drop $3000 on a rifle/optic
>has joke sign about making it convenient to ID people he smokes
>keeps sandals of border crossers as trophies

I wonder if he was just fucking around and threw the acog on his mini-14 one day, and that was the day the photo was taken.

Shouldn't you be on /pol/ saying something about not letting him get his hands on the nuclear codes?

Thanks ShareBlue.

I dont know what youre implying. The acog base's height was specifically made for ar's.

I have a feeling he did it to troll. I I had the chance to take a picture for the media with one of my guns, I'd do some fuddy shit to it just to trigger /k/ lol

>Who the fuck mounts a $2500 acog/reflex to a mini-14?!?!

China has churned out thousands of models of fibre optic knockoff acogs. I have on on a shotgun. I'd bet a real ACOG that it's one of the knockoffs in the picture.
>>
>>33293650

could very well be.
>>
>>33293629
That kind of looks like a vortex venom on top, which less than the rmr but I still think you're right
>>

Bannon pls go, you're drunk again
>>
>>33293853
it's not a real acog. Go to Alibaba or ali-express and search for hunting optics and you'll get pages of those things. That kind with the knockoff reflex sight on top goes for 60-100
>>
>>33293897

$103 on alibaba.

Well, that makes more sense.
>>
>>33292001

You're just poor and mad as fuck about it.

I suggest suicide.

how to spot a city fag. he's from New Mexico, chances are he owns a ranch or a farm.

see those goggles on his face? Note that he's roughly 70-80 years old? What can we surmise from these two pieces of data?
>>
>>33294007

I'm fine financially, no need to worry.

Ok, assuming it's a real ACOG, do you think an ACOG/RMR mounted that high on a mini-14 makes sense?

Not sure how my paycheck factors in.
>>
>>33294082

>cowboy hat

I mean, you are right about me being a city fag, but if that isn't cowboy-styled clothing, what is?

If it works it isn't stupid.
>>
>>33292001
Mini 14 is pretty light so it might be easier for him hold
>>
>>33293942

Have used one before. It's not bad for what it is, though Id' be wary of mounting it to something with the recoil of a Mini 14.

10/22, absolutely.
>>
>>33294671
I've got one of the 1x even cheaper models with no reflex sight, and have been using it on a shotgun with no recoil induced issues.

They are shit glass, but it hasn't broken under 12ga recoil yet.

Go on ebay you can get em for about 1400-1700 if you look hard enough.

Nobody pays MSRP my no funs friend.
>>
>>33293533
Except their articles usually provide a primary source, like a direct video or photograph of the news at hand, and then they fill in political commentary. CNN type news just gives you the commentary without a primary source - just telling you what to believe. Only braindead people believe mainstream media. Smart people try to consume the actual news instead of leftist opinions.
>>
>>33294783
Problem is that if you go on ebay and buy a "cheap" 1400 dollar ACOG what you're going to get is a 60 dollar chinese knockoff in a nice looking Trijicon box.

No, cowboys dressed like pic related, mostly like the two on the right.

He's a rancher, cowboys work for the rancher and herd the cattle.
>>
>>33295170
Most gun shows, you can find some fudd selling his personal collection because he's not long for the world and has medical bills to pay.

Private sales are the gun show "loophole". Honestly, if they would make it so that anyone could file a NICS check, I'd use it, since it's already illegal to sell to felons. Doesn't seem like there is any sens in making new laws or creating new regulations for systems that already exist.
>>
>>33295210
I'm not sure how that makes any sense to you. It's saying that transfers taking place at gun shows (I'm assuming by a licensee since it's also talking about online sales) have to go through an FFL...which is already the law.
>>
>>33295577
Not all sales at gunshows are conducted by an FFL, there are private citizens with booths at all gunshows I've been to in the last 5 years.

And internet sales on private gun forums in the same state are still just private sales. Those are the things the article is talking about.

It's not rocket surgery. And I still think that the NICS system should be open for voluntary use by private sellers.
>>
>>33295641
>Not all sales at gunshows are conducted by an FFL, there are private citizens with booths at all gunshows I've been to in the last 5 years.
Yea, I know.
>And internet sales on private gun forums in the same state are still just private sales. Those are the things the article is talking about.
All right, then why did they feel the need to clarify? If they want a blanket restriction on private firearms transfers/sales, they don't need to specify. It's poorly written bullshit, as usual.
>And I still think that the NICS system should be open for voluntary use by private sellers.
Yea, maybe, but it'll need upgrading and it won't be voluntary.
>>
>>33295680
>it won't be voluntary.
It will be unless your state says otherwise.
>>
>>33295704
Legislation would have to be passed allowing you access to NICS. It's not going to be voluntary.

Nogunner
>>
>>33295937
If you think the average mouth breather buying shit on Ebay can tell the difference between a real ACOG and the knockoff, and accurately grade the seller in response, you're pretty fucking dumb.
>>
>>33295765
You're confusing federal and state laws m8y.
>>
>>33294195

Stop whining about how much the optic costs.

That's why everyone thinks you're whining about being poor. This obsession with what other people spend on their toys is not healthy or cool.
>>
>>33295981
I'm not, do you know who maintains NICS?
>>

huuuurrrr duuuur spend AT LEAST twice as much on ur glass as ur gun

>>
>>33296026
FBI. States that use it for the FFLs have and FBI POC (Point of Contact)
>>
>>33296048
Right, so I'm not sure why you think state law necessarily has influence over who has access to NICS.
>>
>>33296108
I never said it did? What the literal fuck are you talking about?
>>
>if the FBI makes a list of everyone who has a gun, nobody else could ever get access to it, ever!

>>
>>33296108
Changes in Federal laws to the direct access and POC systems to allow private seller access to NICS systems would NOT change state's laws governing background check requirement.

you are literally retarded.
