Got my book past the review process, however it'll still be about 3-5 days before it's available on Amazon, and it'll be up to 72 hours (3 days) before it's on Kindle, but I doubt it'll take that long. I'll set the Kindle version up for free ASAP once it's available, and it'll be free for the maximum length of time; 5 days. For now, it's only available on CreateSpace as a physical copy for $4.99. If you guys like I can just start copy/pasting the book here so you can check it out.

Now the front cover... it's not ideal, in my opinion. Kind of bland but at least it features some actual firearms even if the background isn't very good. Let's be honest though; Firearm Valhalla? I'd call that a pretty damn kickass title.

If you feel like supporting my broke ass, you can get that CreateSpace-produced copy here, but like I said it'll be on Amazon in 3-5 days (physical copy will be the same price there; $4.99USD), will be on Kindle in less than 3 days, and the standard price there will be $0.99USD however as stated I'll make it free for 5 days as soon as I get the opportunity. On the Dedication page at the start of the book is the following...

Written by a Gun Nut, for Gun Nuts.

To my fellow Kommandos!
(The typo is intentional.)

Your description claims Bison Prepper reviewed it, yet there's no mention of it anywhere on his blog that I could find.

http://bisonprepper.blogspot.ca/search?q=Firearm+Valhalla

Why don't you post a few excerpts here.
I don't mind shilling, but it better be damn worth it.

He didn't review Firearm Valhalla; it's not even out yet. He reviewed Living amongst the Dead, my first book, and he was the first review I ever got. Sorry about that, I'll fix the description to make it more clear. His review is on Amazon, not on his blog.

Oops, forgot the excerpts. Here goes!

With a grunt of annoyance, he lay himself down on the ridge of a cliff, left arm reaching forward for the smooth wooden stock of his decades-old rifle to rest on. Cli-click, click-click-click… click. A final adjustment of the elevation knob of the rear sight brought it up a ways, and then down a fraction. A distant scream, high-pitched, had ruined the pleasant day he’d been having. A bright blue-sapphire eye peered through the ring of an aperture rear sight, focusing on the tip of the front sight a couple feet away from it, and one final click switched off the safety. A good 200m or so, he wagered. Down in a valley slightly off to the right of where his lookout faced, he aimed for the side-long silhouette of a man’s head. A dreadfully difficult shot to be sure, but not impossible. It was the man who had her upper body pinned down, the man who’d ripped her shirt open, the one who laughed and grinned as his pal presently forced himself on her.

WHOCK! Breathing heavily, the second man’s laughing and grunting stopped, his long greasy hair framing a fat and harshly scarred face waved about as he looked around, panic setting in quite quickly needless to say. The skinnier of the two crumpled over a little to the side, part of his body landing on the exposed female. A modest entry wound under one shoulder, with a terrifying exist wound under the other.

Well... isn't THIS off to a lovely start. How'd that typo escape me?

Continuing...

“Two-fifty, maybe…” he grunted, steadying the front sight on the easier target. Perhaps three hundred if the bullet dropped that much more than expected… really got to figure out a better way of judging distance. Once again, the man was felled before the victim even heard the shots. Pushing the stinking, unwashed rapist off of her, screaming in panic as the blood oozing from his chest smeared on her pale flesh, she ran. Something was picked up off the grass as she went, and he did not stop her. She clutched her ripped, ragged clothing to her body, wishing to keep covered even on the escape. Fall was pushing into Winter after all.

One of the casing of .30-06 had ejected from the semi-auto rifle just over to the side, rolling down to a dip in the rocky surface. The other had likely ended up tossing itself off the edge of the cliff. Fuck it. Following a brief trail through the woods, he pocketed the incredibly light NAS3 casing. Shell Shock Technologies sure did make a mint off their new design once it started getting accepted by Militaries. Couldn’t make enough of them! Too bad everything had to go to shit. Taking a left once meeting a wooden cabin that had been serving as his home, the blonde stranger headed on down to the scene of the crime, trudging along trees and rocks that were all too familiar.

>Those NAS3 casings seem pretty kickass, in my opinion.

The cover photo was taken something like 6-7 years ago for /k/. The camo thing is cargo pants.

Kneeling down at the two corpses, his nose wrinkled. Hadn’t even been dead for an hour yet and they already stink to high Hell. The hefty rifle slung over his back, safety having been engaged before he’d even gotten up from his prone position on the ridge, wiggled and shook as he began searching their pockets. A wallet with no money, not that it’d be any good if there was any.

“Keep it, Jimmy.” The crocodile-skin wallet was tossed on the skinny one’s back, his long-expired ID giving him the last name of Taylor. A couple rounds of 9x19 was pocketed, yet no side arm was present on him. Moving over to fatso, a Beretta 92 was found holstered. Finish heavily worn, one of the grip panels were either deeply scratched or cracked, some rust developing on the slide, and he imagined the rifling, and likely bore in general, was not in a very fit state. Into the right pocket of his jacket it went. Pockets; one spare mag though no ammo in it, and it was also developing a little bit of rust. No wallet though there was a wad of cash. Plastic bills; not much good for starting fires he figured, so tossed that to the grass. 5s, 10s, 20s, 50s, and even the occasional 100 dollar bill lifted and drifted about as the occasional small breeze graced the valley.

Aside from a second wad, this one being various clippings as well as startlingly amateur-looking photos of nude women, not all of whom appear ‘legal’, the larger of the two had nothing on him either. The shooter’s eyebrows ruffled; it wasn’t unheard of for people to wander around these parts, but still, it was certainly not common. The nudie girls danced along with the money as he picked up the black polymer AR that fatty was so kind to bring with him, and then the ‘tacti-cool’ Ruger 10/22 with adjustable stock and comically large optic of skinny-mini. Then something caught his eye. A single piece of lined paper.
Leaving the firearms to fall to the grass, the buttstock of the Ruger clunking against its owner’s head, a couple long strides brought him to the unfolding sheet of loose-leaf. Gingerly lifting his boot to pick it up, ignoring the slight grass stains left over, his previously generally uninterested features took a distinctly interested turn. He grasped the rifle and riflette then headed for his shack in a jog.

>Page 3 almost finished
I like how I called the Ruger 10/22 a 'riflette' even though that's not a word. What's the term... poetic liberty? Anyways, he's about to head for his little cabin, loooooots of goodies in there. How's it going so far? I've been told the start of the book is effective at catching the reader's attention, makes them want to see what happens next.

Ok then.
Regardless of my pedantic attitude, good luck with your book.
Doesn't seem like something I'd read, but might be a normalfag's idea of a good read.

No worries, thanks for pointing it out; I'll fix it. I'll post a bit more of my book for now, but if nobody responds/shows interest then I'll stop. Don't want to spam.

The heavy wooden door creaked as the man heft it open, shutting it behind him, a bar on a swivel sticking away from the entrance at a roughly 45 degree angle was pulled over until it landed on two heavy ‘arms’ of oak, thereby barring the door behind him. There were no windows, and above him swung a few lightbulbs, mostly fluorescent ones, though at least one was simply a cylindrical piece of plastic covered in LEDs. Energy efficient, which is what he needed, for there were only so many solar panels on the roof. Shelves of mostly bottled food and a table were off to his immediate left in the corner as he headed deeper into the one-room domicile. To the right, a simple wooden rack on which he put the AR and Ruger, which rested alongside an SKS-45 and Maverick 88 shotgun. It was the rack of firearms that required cleaning, none of them were originally his, though they are now.

Ignoring the wall-mounted display of loaded firearms in the far left corner, below which were boxes of magazines as well as a few duffel bags of ammo, he went to a bench in the far right corner of the room. Rusty Beretta tossed on the somewhat oily wooden surface, smelling sweetly of gun oil, his M1 Rifle with 5+1 remaining was leaned against its side before pulling out that sheet of paper. Eyebrows furled, staring at it, gazing over the scribbly pen marks.

It lead to the area where his home was. It lead to the valley out front, and going backwards from the end, showed how to get to the valley and cliff from along the stream that went to the highway. At said highway, all but barren of vehicles for years, it was instructed to turn left, meaning they had come, from his perspective, from the right. A long walk, he knew, for he once lived in that very town.

Fixed. Some of the actual gun porn is coming up now. Once the book is actually on kindle and available for free, I'll bring it up again either in this thread if it lasts a few days (doubtful) or in a new thread later. Then these /k/ommandos can get it for free along with whoever else might think it sounds interesting. It'll also be on Kindle Unlimited so anyone with that can read it for free.

The eerie directions to the rough location of his home was not the worst of it, however. ‘Sandy blonde, blue eyes, short, thin, often wears forest camo cargo pants and an olive green t-shirt, sometimes with matching hoodie.” Well, the ‘short’ comment on the description wasn’t particularly complimentary, however at five and a half feet tall, he certainly qualified for ‘below average’. Then, at the very bottom, “Reward Negotiable upon retrieval of Head.” The choice of capitalization was curious, however it left nothing to the imagination; there was a bounty out for him.

“Fuckers must be looking to finish what they started…” he sarcastically muttered to himself, handling the M1 Rifle. Bolt pulled back with the back of his head, thumb over the mag well to catch the shiny previously-chambered cartridge before it can eject. Adjusting his grip slightly, still holding the bolt back, his thumb reached the clip release, allowing the en bloc clip to pop up into the palm of his hand. Letting the bolt forward without letting the clip come out entirely it pushed against the back of it, keeping it in place. Kneeling down at the correct duffel, zipping it open, two handloaded .30-06 cartridges were pulled out; one of the casings of which had a black bottom and the other blue, though it didn’t make any actual difference to him; they were of the same loading. They were pushed into the clip along with the round he ejected, topping it off to 8, and it was loaded back in the rifle, the safety having never been disengaged.

Alright, everything is way ahead of schedule, my books are going to be free from Mar 14-16 for Kindle/eReader. I'll show the /k/ related ones. Now I'll stop posting and let this thread die if nobody replies. Here's the links. I might mention it again tomorrow for anyone who wants some free /k/-related eBooks to take home with them.

Living amongst the Dead (Zombie survival/Post-Apoc)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M7S2Z0R

Firearm Valhalla (Action/Post-Apoc)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XK5P6QV

It's not exactly shilling if I'm not making money off it, right? As mentioned, they'll be completely free from Mar 14-16. Hope you enjoy them, fellow /k/ommandos!

It was hung up on the wall with the other rifles which he knew were clean, in perfectly safe condition to shoot, properly oiled, and in short, ready for business. With pointer finger extended, his hand moved about as his eyes scanned the selection. Kar98k? The relic of WWII had a reddened stock from when it had been captured by the Soviet Russians at some point, which was the same reason why it was missing the cleaning rod and front sight post. Nah, great for hunting though. QBZ-97? The futuristic-looking 5.56 chambered Chinese-designed and Chinese-made bullpup looked very visually appealing, but he’d yet to get used to having the magazine go behind the pistol grip instead of in front of it.

M16A2, the American workhorse of the late Cold War with traditional fixed polymer stock, but he was hoping for something a bit lighter. “Ah, come here, my baby…” An AK-74 variant of some sort, perhaps an original, before the M for Modernized designation came out for the AK-74M. Wooden buttstock, wooden pistol grip, and wooden handguard, with a beautiful orange bakelite mag to go with it. Full length 16.3” barrel, select fire for semi/full auto, cleaning kit in the buttstock, cleaning rod under the barrel, and he knew it to hold 29+1 but of course had to check to make sure.
