So I've played with 3 full ambi lowers: my KAC lower and my dad's Santan and LWRC ones. The Santan is the easiest to actuate with right trigger finger, but the releases feels "looser" than the other two. The LWRC one is a no shit bolt catch which is nice, but given its placement I don't think it was ever thought to be a actuated by a right hand trigger finger. I still prefer my KAC one, but I'll be honest, I'm biased to KAC.

So as a general rule why would you take red dot or magnification? Assuming it is not being built for hunting or long range target practice. Just a run of the mill all purpose SHTF rifle.
