Sup /k/, I just made this guide for everyone.
Help me think of a good title and lemme know if there's anything I should add.

Can I ask; where dod you get the info?
>>33285710
Wikipedia and Luckygunner, think I should put it on there, I think most people know..
>>33285737
Perhaps.
Im a no-funner who has no experience with ballistics, so something that I could use as a reference to rule out trollposts would be nice.
Still gonna download and add it to the collection thou
>>33285532
some of those prices, particularly 5.56x45 look off
>>33285782
I just took the cheapest prices from luckygunner for bulk ammo because they calculate per round.
>>33285771
Ill update it when someone thinks of a /k/lassy title.
>>33285827
No need for a classy title.
A simple "info and prices are takien from X (see link here:https://) from march 2017".
I think that would be the cherry on top.
>>33285532
Try and make it more consistent between whether joules and ft/lbs is in parentheses.
Also, those .38 Special loads are extremely poor representatives of the cartridge. Not a single one of them is a +P load, one of them is for a 158 grain lead round nose that fell out of favor over 50 years ago and is barely used today, and one of them is a 200 grain lead round nose that I've never even heard of anyone actually using.

Pick one from here you feel is more accurate.

AK-47s confirmed more powerful than AR-15s?
Wtf no .30-06?
>>33286163
I can add it, but I need 2 other of the most popular rifle rounds to balance it out.
>.223? and _______
>no .50 BMG
>>33286163
It was originally supposed to be handguns only but fuck it.
How about:
>.30 carbine
>5.56
>7.62
>.308
>.30-06
>.30-30
Are these the most common rifles people would realistically own?
>>33286310
I guess Ill do a .22 row too even though its kinda retarded...
Should I use these rounds plus the .22s? Speak now or forever rest in piss!
What about 12 gauge and stuff?
>>33286106
>Pick one from here you feel is more accurate.
I would use these 5 as representative examples of .38 Special:
>Hornady 38 Special FTX 110 grain 249 ft/lbs 1010 fps
>Blazer Brass FMJ FN 125 grain 208 ft/lbs 865 fps
>Magtech 38 Special SJHP 158 grain 230 ft/lbs 807 fps
>Winchester 38 Special +P T-Series 130 grain 247 ft/lbs 945 fps
>Buffalo Bore 38 Special +P LSWCHP 158 grain 474 ft/lbs 1162 fps
They are, respectively, a low-recoil non +P carry ammo, standard plinking ammo of decent quality, a non +P hollow point, full strength +P carry ammo, and the strongest .38 Special load available. It's a good spread.
>>33286348
It gets too complex.
>>33286416
Thx Ill try to work that in. What do you think about this list for the most practical/everyday rifle rounds? >>33286310
>>33286310
300 blackout too
>>33286465
>.30 carbine
I don't think I've seen any modern examples of guns chambered in this caliber. .45-70 or .300 Win Mag are better choices for inclusion, as they're among the most powerful commonly used/available rifle rounds.
>>33286507
I know this has gotten popular as of late, but is it at the level of a mainstream cartridge yet? I was under the impression that it's only really seen on ARs, and assembled ones at that.
>>33286507
>>33286576
Isnt 300 blackout a meme round?
>>33286576
Thanks im gonna use these. Working on it now.
5.56
7.62
.30-30
.308
.30-06
.300 win mag
>>33286163
I know! And no 6.5x55 or .260 Remington either?!

You know what would be really great? To see NIJ and GOST armor ratings compared and put on a single chart for ease of cross reference.
>>33285532
Where do you find 10mm for .34?
That's cheap even for FBI loads, full power is .50 to 1.00

Shop around
