Not him but outside of a few specifically risky (and shitty) jobs like being a police officer in a high crime area or working for Brink's there is nothing you can apply combat experience to. Maybe you could work for an HSLD agency like the DEA or something if you get lucky.

Maybe 0.05% of the jobs out there would have a real skill transfer from being a grunt and there's literally a million guys who all saw the same shit who want those same jobs.

When I went through ABOLC (officer basic) you could tell many of the instructors there were specifically placed to have a chill assignment and "cool down"

Our marksmanship instructor was a ssg, sniper, and his one day instruction made me go from 28/40 to 38/40. Amazing teacher, I digress though, he ended up going off I a tangent about when he came back he was depressed and talking to psychologists. He thought he was addicted to killing people because that was the only thing that could being him joy (married with a young kid and baby). He chuckled, not a real one, like a self reassuring one, and told us that he psychologist told him he was just addicted to adrenaline rushes, not actually killing people.
You could tell he was trying his hardest to believe it. But his eyes told the truth that he didn't believe it for a second.

Really hope he is doing well. We voted him inductor of the cycle because he was chill as fuck, intelligent, and dedicated to making us lethal. Great guy.
