As far as I know that ship has sailed unless you own land. I took my first shots at the rock quarry west of 53/Jordan lane in the late 70s/early 80s. Up until the late 90s you could shoot at a quarry off of 72 near Gurley. Now if you want to shoot outdoors and you don't own land it's Swan Creek or Skyline.

Swan Creek isn't bad if you can avoid weekends. Skyline is all over nicer and less crowded but it's also a longer commute.

I think this area is really missing the boat on the potential financial gains for the region by not having a better range facility. There are almost no competitions of note in the area which is sad. I bet we could get a hell of a Glock league going up here if we had the facilities for it.
