I agree that the TLR is probably the best option out there. I don't have an issue with the u boats, but switchology often comes down to a personal preference.
I don't think the TLR to xc1 is really a fair comparison though. The xc1 wasn't meant to be a duty size WML or to compete in the market against them.
I do agree that they're full of problems and it's a fairly poor attempt by surefire. They're basically not designed to be operated effectively by human hands.

Hey its me from that other thread. I did some more research, and thought back on my personal experiences and I figured out why they suck. They use AAA batteries.

Now here me out. If you have ever stored triple AAAs for a long time you will know they go bad and tend to leak. That acid is really bad for the electronics. They also get to an unusable power level rather quickly. Then take into account that people can turn them on by accident fairly easy, and you can see how the battery would wear out.

Otherwise I heard at this recent shot show they have fixed the switch problems. I am still going to wait and let someone else find out the hard way though.
