You can try building one, it's expensive, but you get more intimate with the gun, and you can make exacly how you want it. I've seen some ARs using G3 mags, looked rad.

If you want something Gucci it might be worth looking into B&T's APC308 they're bringing in as a 14.5" pistol. Obviously no experience yet but it's another one to throw into the ring and I can definitely speak toward their quality based on the guns I've seen.

A year is over in a flash, so I don't quite see the issue. That's how long I had to wait for my lefty AI AT. Accuracy International only does limited runs of lefty rifles, so you gotta wait until they run a batch.

I'd tell you to buy a SCAR, if not get the MWS. I'm a huge fan of the platform and if you ever get board of .308 you can swap to a 6mm. The only real drawback is the MWS is going to weigh more than the GAP10 because of how the barrel interfaces with the receiver.
