A buddy of mine shared this with me on facebook and was curious if anyone has ever been to it?
It's coming up on March 18th in downtown Los Angeles and apparently has a 2 story warehouse full of old surplus uniforms, bags, etc and a large dollar pile of items.
Thought it'd be worth checking out

Some other photos they had on their event

2835 E 26th St, Vernon, California 90058
Been there okay selection, found a ww2 french duster for 15 bucks pretty much brand new, few buddies got some other odds n ends
>>33258665
Do you pretty much have to dig through giant piles of uniforms or do they at least have it somewhat organized?
>>33258677
It's giant piles, but usually its all similar stuff in piles.
>>33258665
Is the smell as incredible as it looks?
Where the hell does this cache come FROM? Looks too mixed to come from a single source like an army store, way too messy to come from a single source, and last I heard it was still legal to have camo and military clothes in the baggage on airflights. This stuff looks like what you'd get after stripping the bodies from a battle.
>>33260486
"way too messy to come from a collector".
>>33258480
>piles of unwashed smelly gear
how pleasant
Another possibility is that this miliitaria is sold by some big charity org that normally shifts secondhand clothes but doesn't want this on their regular shelves less some leftie gets a heart attack. This would not happen in my own country though; every Salvation Army store and so on sell all the militaria they can put their grubby hands on, and the prices are often higher than you would pay in an actual army surplus store since this stuff sell well.

>>33260486
It's the junk that militaria shops can't sell.
>>33258480
Cool. Make sure you take a lot of pictures or video if you go, OP. There's bound to be some gems in there.

>>33260643
i see a bunch of raider cunts
I see a bunch of people who dare to be different. I love that as much as I love guns. There's probably not a single real collector in the whole place but bless them for entertaining the rest of us.

I don't know if you're autistic or just jelly
I'm gonna say both
>>33261034
kek why are you trying to justify these freaks, are you one of them?
Do any East Coast anons know if they still do the giant surplus flea market/ military vehicle show at Cal Ripken Stadium outside of Baltimore?
I used to go there as a kid and it was glorious. Coming home smelling like mildew wearing East German fatigues, with a LBV full of deactivated grenades, a gas mask, and a WWI steel pot on my head was always the highlight of my summer, much to my parents' displeasure.
>>33261034
You fucking mong, there is some genuine historic gear there that will be cut up so some new wave wierdos can style themselves.
Them and you are literally redddit tier, kys.
>>33261064
>infinite piles of musty uniforms you can find in every military surplus store ever
>muh genuine historic gear
so it WAS autism after all
>>33258480
Did I step in the mirror universe or did people forget how to spell bazaar
>>33261055
It turns out they do, May 11th to 13th. Aberdeen, MD.

>>33261155
The silver lining may be that, since it is clearly a LARPing supply event, the sellers may have no idea what they have. It may be the Merchant in me coming out, but I daresay that there are (((deals))) to be had there, goys!
>>33260643
jesus fucking christ, so this is where surplus goes to die.
at the hands of dirty madmax larpers.
>>33261167
>get mad jelly at people having fun
>your feefee's hurt because of muh decaying ancient surplus
>throw tantrum and get called for it

>>33261217

>>33261144
I'd go to sell my shit but I dunno whether I can get everything ready in time.
>>33261261
Well at least you will be guarenteed to be in better company than the wierdos at that CA one. I am going to try to remember to make a thread for it beforehand. Hope I'll see you there /k/omrade!
>>33261190
Heh. Honestly? A heap like this would probably have been combed over by the seller or the seller's collector friends before they put it in the crates. If there was anything of actual market value in that heap, meaning more than a few tenners, it's gone.
>>33261368
Right, don't know how stuff works where you are, but for decades the US was drowning in surplus and most of it was being considered worthless for a long time. Some of the rarer items are drying up, but most collectors or people who want one already have one, since they had decades to get it cheap. You could buy it from a militaria store, who knows the value, or you could buy it from reddit here, who may have purchased it within a lot and never really gone through it with any knowledge. Lastly, there is unlikely to be anything of monetary value, true, but likely something with sentimental value to a /k/ommando.

Once opon a time NY was home to the "fun" castle!
I hope there's a special place in hell for liberals!
>>33261597
Sounds reasonable to me. I don't mind admitting that even knowing the goods weren't real collectibles I'd still be reeling under the weight of my own loot if I got a chance to dig in at a place like this. Where I live, any second hand store selling a camo field jacket will price it at 30 bucks. And up.

>tfw no living New Yorker will ever know the joy of Bannermans.
Holy shit, is there anything remotely like this in Minnesota?
I wish it would come to Canada, but then it would be like $150 for a single rotten Russian footwrap.
