Some local idiot tried to shoot a fleeing shoplifter, firing several rounds in a busy Target parking lot during the after work grocery rush. When police arrived, he told them everything he did like he was going to get a pat on the head and a gold star next to his name. They arrested him. He didn't have a concealed carry permit.

Haha, sounds like me, I pulled a Yugo Npap out of my safe and pulled the trigger on it. Round went off and into the bricks of the fireplace. Only penetrated about 1.5", didn't shatter the brick. So I pulled out the fragments out and put some mortar mix over it and no one who has come over has ever noticed.
Moral of the story is check your goddamn guns even if you "know" it's unloaded, because you only think you know.

An hour later i pull a loaded mag out of my coat pocket, totally forgot it was there.

You ARE forgetful when drunk..even taking proper percautions. You forget shit, im pretty level headed and logical. But when i was drunk i didnt even remember i had a mag in my pocket till a hour later.
