What kind of rifle is this guy using?
>>
>>33252626
Fuckin' air rifle.

Jezus you yanks cucked the nips so hard
>>
>>33252650
They did that to themselves. Japan's constitution completely bans weapons except for very strict circumstances.
>>
>>33252650
Pretty sure they could've voted to undo it and tell us to fuck off at this point, it's been over 70 years. They're very happy with the way things work in Japan. Even otakus who love guns and anime/manga with guns in them overwhelmingly agree that loosened restrictions on guns is a bad idea.

Japs just wanna live the fantasy.

Fantasies don't come with real-world consequences or responsibilities
>>
>>33253572

You know you can aquire hunting rifles and shotguns fir the purpose of hunting. It's costly as fuck, like a shit double barrel will go for like 9k there. Permit is expensive and you need to know some one with land. Actually easier to get a firearm here, then it is in the u.k.
>>
That's some kind of PCP airgun looks like an evanix speed.
>>
>>33253572
>mfw gun control got so strict in Japan that they basically invented AirShit to still get to play with guns
>>
>>33252650
Stric gun laws have been a thing in Japan even before WWII. The general mentallity was (and I belive still is) that only the rich and powerfull could have guns Jap peasants have been cucks for millenia and they still are. But hey, if the whole society agrees and they have such low crime rates in general, then go for it.
Also, I once saw an FNAR in .308 for sale in a Tokyo gun shop, so i guess you can own a self loading center fire rifle as long as its designed as a sporting firearm.
>>
>>33253865
This pretty much, and also aren't semi autos for civilians illegal there or something? I know that the FNAR was also suppose to capture interest for law enforcement.
>>
So based on googling the nips gun and sword control act, looks like nips can have guns as long as they don't use metal bullets. So someone needs to get going on non-metallic ceramic bullets.
>>
>>33253572
you do know that WE WROTE their constitution right?
>>
>>33253688
And you need to keep track of each shell expended.
>>
>>33253688
The application process takes years, requires multiple government and medical signoffs, is may-issue, and can be revoked for any and all reasons at the whims of the government with no explanation given.

Japan's hunting is extremely extremely limited (there basically aren't any private landowners and you can't shoot on government land or within some ridiculously long distance from an inhabitable building regardless of whether anyone actually lives there) with very short very specific seasons and even more regulations than basic firearms ownership.

There are exactly 3 ranges in the entirety of Japan where non-military personnel can shoot, and only 2 of which allow the use of personally owned firearms. All 3 require memberships, the memberships are lifetime and limited to 100 people at any given time, so expect to be on the waiting list most of your life waiting for a current member to die and free up a spot, and the spots are considered real property and can be transferred via estate so they're mostly dynastic (only 300 people in the entire country can be members of a gun club at any given time).

But yes, civilian ownership of firearms is "legal" in Japan. If you're rich, lucky, and blood-related to a government official.

>>33253937
It is not that simple based on what Sabagebu told me.
>>
>>33253865
>and they have such low crime rates in general
But they really don't. The ones they admit to having are about on par with the rest of Western society, and they've been repeatedly caught lying about them and covering them up.
>hey this was a suicide, not a murder, even though we caught the murderer red-handed and he admitted to it!
>nooooo, all those Yakuza killings were with pointy sticks, those surely aren't bullet wounds even though the whole thing was livestreamed showing them with automatic weapons!
>nah that industry bigwig that got beheaded wasn't beheaded with a sword [slowly slides the bloody sword under the table] he committed suicide with a *totally legal* pen knife, he was super flexible n sheit that's how he cut his own head off from behind with his hands tied behind his chair!
>>
>>33254255
They do have a relatively low crime rate, but I attribute that to them being a homogeneous society and one that priorities the whole and not the individual.
>>
>>33253688
I understand they no longer issue permits for rifles, and haven't for some time, it's shotguns only.
>>
>>33254012
>But yes, civilian ownership of firearms is "legal" in Japan. If you're rich, lucky, and blood-related to a government official.

so pretty much modern day top of the line samurai caste? fucking nipps, should have dropped more bombs on them.
>>
>>33252650
The Japs banned their lower classes from owning weapons before Perry was born. They've always been like that.
>>
>>33252650
They were cucked the moment they made swords illegal to carry
>>
>>33254355
>The Japs banned their lower classes from owning weapons before Perry was born. They've always been like that.

this is true, only samurai could own swords for example.
>>
>>33254304
Compared to who? Somalia? They have a violent crime rate similar to the US and higher than the UK by admittance and it's widely assumed to be higher than they admit to.

Property crimes are comparatively low, yes, but those are the crimes people care the least about.

They actually have one of the highest motor vehicle crime rates in the western world due to a rather extensive culture of street racing and a convoluted licensing system, but again nobody really cares about this shit because it's (generally) not injurious.

>>33254331
They issue just enough rifle permits to say they still issue rifle permits, but it's in the single digits per year and it's usually to current senior law enforcement administrators or government.bigwigs. IE people with money, power, authority, and public influence.

IIRC the CFO of Honda got one in 2009, which was the first rifle permit issued in like 16 years.

>>33254349
Pretty much, yeah.
>>
Isn't overpopulation of certain wild animals like deer/boars a big problem in japan?
>>
The greatest mistake was not dissolving the Japanese state after ww2. All the filthy gooks should have been wiped out.
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07nV9PY9fiA
>>
>>33252626
So when are the boars going to mutate the rest of the other species and eventually create Bloodsuckers?
>>
>>33254012

Hunting is opening up, simply because with no natural predators, wild boar and especially deer are fucking with their agriculture.

>>
>>33255274
>>33254433
Except these dipshits have their head so far up their asses in keeping power that they rather pay foreigners to do the shooting for them rather than loosen up their weapons act
>>
>>33255368

When the last gen of hunters die off and their automated farming is losing $500 billion yearly, they'll come around.

Might be Ruger No 1's only, but they'll have too. Putting up tall bamboo fences isn't going to cut it.
>>
>>33253865
>But hey, if the whole society agrees and they have such low crime rates in general, then go for it.
No. Civilian weapon restrictions are inherently evil.
>>
>>33253653
That's what the US does

Bomb the shit out of people and give them democracy

Losing a war to the US can be one of the best things to happen to a country.
>>
>>33255410
This, these laws are basically made to discourage ownership and is harmful to fellow firearm enthusiasts who are sports shooters and hunters. There's a reason why those that are financially secure goes for a visit in the US territories or the US mainland for hunting, sports shooting or even plinking
>>
>>33253607
Honestly, even i think the nips, with their ultraurban lifestyle, etc, are better off not owning guns
>>
>>33255451
It's actually cheaper for me, in the midwest US, to book a guided hunt in Japan than it is for a Japanese citizen to acquire both a firearms license and hunting license even if he never hunts.

And that includes air fare for me.

>shit double barrel
I'm confused. Are you saying double barrels are shit? Or are you saying that even turkshit costs a fortune over there and a Beretta would cost a milli? If what >>33254012 says is correct, I doubt any japanese gun owners have turkshit.
>>
>>33255684
Some of the hunters will use turkshit/russoshit shotguns, yeah. But the majority of shotguns sold over there are several-thousand-USD clays guns since that's pretty much the main outlet for shooting in the whole country. Predominantly Browning, since they're made by Miroku and as such are a "local" company.
>>
>>33255489
Those costs could have been reduced if they loosened their Orwellian tier firearm legislations (Which of course is never going to happen in a million years).
>>
>>33252650
Op here. Yes, I know it's an air rifle; more interested in caliber and specs. That's a massive air chamber and assume larger caliber than a typical 177 or 22 pellet we'd I use in USA.
>>
>>33253572

That's not even the saddest part. Compared to the rest of east asia Japan might as well's be Texas.

Not last time I checked (gun store sites) I've seen plenty semi auto rifles, the M1 carbine was quite popular there, the Browning BAR (the hunting rifle) and some other rifles I even saw a sporterized valmet in .308 for sale, I assume that all guns that have been designed for hunting are legal.
>>

Can you provide any source and all the bullshit you're saying?
>>
>>33252650
Japanese civilians have been cucked by the Warrior Class long before the Amerifriends did.

Even during the Meiji period, it was banned. In the 1900s, it was further banned because lord knows you might be a *whisper* anti-monarchical socialist.

1 their suicide rate is as high as most countrys murder rate
2 they have hid yakuza hits as suicides before
3 unsolved murders are also hid as suicides

No idea if they have changed anything from a couple years a go when I last looked up stuff about it.
