>Finally built my first gun and AR15
>Can't stop fingerfucking it
Is this normal?
Pic related, what I cloned.
>>33245160
What kit?
>buying a semi auto ar15
For what purpose? Enjoy youre ruger 10/22
>>33245160
How about a fucking OC pic you fucking faggot. This is an image board.
>>33245160
I really know that feel.
I've disassembled, reassembled, and generally held my rifles for hours on end.
If you start talking and kissing it, you've either gone way, way too far, or found a calling in life.
>i feel a leap of joy in my heart when I think of holding and loving my rifles
>also, would you happen to be the anon that made a thread about making an A4 clone a little while back, nice to see it worked out for you
>>33245256
>>33245277
Yeah it was me. No mag because I keep finger-fucking it so I'm paranoid.
>>33245160
Where you the one who we all suggested to build a m16a4 clone?
>>33245496
Just make sure it is empty, and feel ok to fuck around with the magazine too. Just check for a round in there everytime till you get comfortable and trust yourself.
>looks nice, good choice on the rail covers
>>33245564
>good choice
..do you not know what a clone is
>>33245550
Yeah, that's me.
I wound up with a BCM complete upper and Geissele SSA trigger. The rail and carry handle are surplus items.

Nice gun. Yes, obsessive fingerfucking is normal especially if you are a new gun owner. I kind of wish I went all the way with my "Vietnam" theme and made an XM177 clone instead of going the "beginner basic bitch" route, but I love my AR regardless, and I fingerfuck it all the time (doesn't hurt that Palmetto State Armory triggers are fucking great)
I probably fingerfuck my glock more than anything just because it's easy to take out and put back in the box. It's important that you safety check the gun every time you pick it up. I clear every gun I touch even though I never chamber around at my house (live in a safe neighborhood, don't have good enough defensive ammo yet, and want to have enough guns where I can have one just for home defense and the others for fun/hobby stuff)
It's good to get into the habit of doing that.
I built a kit similar to this one. Love the retro look and will add an SJC titan, a Lucid 2 - 5x, and a Vortex Mod 2 red dot

Will end up with something like this with FSB and $90 worth of 78% recoil reduction square goodness on the end of the barrel.
Everything together will end up being $900 but the gun itself without the BUIS and comp was $500 pretty proud that i scrounged it together
>>33245160
It's absolutely normal, I finger fucked my AR when I slapped it together, I finger fucked my nugget when I bought and Im currently finger fucking my winchester 1897 takedown shotgun as Im typing this
>>33245719
>(doesn't hurt that Palmetto State Armory triggers are fucking great)
The one I've used for three years has been utter garbage. Gritty as shit and a creep you could not help but notice if you were going for a longer range shot. Over two years it sat in my A1 build and didn't improve through heavy use before I caved and dropped $40 on an ALG QMS that made all the difference in the world. Moved the PSA FCG to another lower a few weeks ago and it still remained awful, so I guess ALG gets more of a shekels.
Not saying yours is awful, just that there's been plenty of stories like mine that points to inconsistent quality.

You built it? How sure are you that you torqued the barrel properly? Is the headspace right? You're probably going to blow half your face off, anon.
>>33248140
A torque wrench and go/no go gauges are not large investments...
>>33248034
Its okay gramps i didn't use your precious 603 kit
>>33248140
If anything the company you buy it from would put it to spec. I built an AR with a faxon barrel and a brownell's upper with palmetto parts. just make sure the nut has 80 lbs of torque and you're golden

HURR DURR EVERYONE SHOULD ONLY LIKE WHAT I LIKE AND NOTHING ELSE HURRR DURR
damn
>>33245160
Very normal.
You will find you get tired of it.
Don't modify it, just get another one to satisfy you new physical attractions.
I suggest a 9mm AR.
>>33245160
Obligatory
TL;DR it's normal
>>33248303
Why, does holding the gun by the magazine cause feeding problems?
Absolutely it is. Brand new 10.5" .300 blk pistol. Waiting on the arm brace.
