Is good gun, maybe your skills in handgun firing need improvement...

Actually, some versions of this have been known to have magazine problems. Which can lead to problems feeding hollow points and lead bullets.
I know this because easy Google search and it happened to my 22/45.
So I got rid of it for a Buckman. Perfection

22/45 is different to the normal Marks. The way that the upper is fitted to the lower on 22/45s by peening instead of mechanical precision means that each gun can vary in feed height relative to the chamber.
Metal frame Mark pistols don't have this inconsistency, so magazine-related manufacturing variances aren't as critical.
tl;dr Me too. Can't use Mec-gar clips in my 22/45 but Ruger brand clips feed flawlessly.

Owned one of those for years. Shot thousands of rounds through it and cleaned it aprx once every presidency. jammed almost never.

This. Had one time after I somehow forgot to oil it after cleaning where it continously failed, and a number of light primer strikes (more likely ammo being shit) Otherwise, one year and a few thousand rounds and its still perfect with only the occasional cleaning
Use federal automatch, niggers
Never had one misfeed with my MkIII
>>33244805
When will people accept that, despite it's many strong points, the fourth Dirty Harry movie was basically a gun commercial.

MK 4 Hunter is nice.

Inside the car YouTube gun reviews like fast food?
>>33247181
Nah, only good pic I have even after a month. Just took it to show my buddy
>>33247040
Agreed. My Mark IV Target is dope. I shoot Winchester Super X and mini-mags with no jelly jams.

Does a RegularGunReview channel exist, and if not, why not
>>33247241
Same, no issues yet whatsoever, besides having to manually cycle the bolt with the "quiet 22lr" by CCI. But it warns about that on the box, so whatevs.
>>33244805
Which Ruger is the best?
Mk. 1, 2, 3, or 4?
I want one but I'd like to be privy to any particular issues/enhancements between the models.
>>33247348
they're all fine but they made the 4 incredible easy to field strip which I guess was a pain in the past
>>33247359
So buying a Mk.I for the aesthetic wouldn't be a bad idea unless I planned to clean often?
Alright, appreciate the input.
>>33247385
it's not like you have to take it to a gunsmith to clean it, they just made it crazy quick/simple with the 4
While we're on the subject of .22lr pistols, does anyone have experience with the Beretta U22 Neos? What do you think of it?
>>33247404
This, most people had to end up using a rubber mallet to get that shit back together. Hell, a big part of our customer service was people sending in their MKs for reassembly
>>33244805
>>33247441
It's shit.
>>33247572
I can understand that. Field stripping is a pain in the arse, though once you get the hang of the Ruger flip and that brute force is needed for the upper (I can just pull to seperate and then reattach) it's not terrible.
Full disassembly I've done a few times, mostly because I fucked up putting it back together- the sear spring is a bitch and I almost lost the safety pin as well. But my zero experience half drunk arse was still able to break it down, give every part a clean and oil and rebuild it in a couple of hours using one flat head screwdriver and a web guide. And it doesn't seem much different from doing the same with any other handgun, its just field stripping thats relatively overly complicated
Still runs, quite a lot better than before I cleaned out a years worth of burnt powder

Ruger Mk.III owner by the way, the LGS nearby has the Mk.IV but I've yet to see anyone I know buy and shoot one.
