We only know the loadouts of a couple of the publically known SMUs.

There's a very high chance that for any sub unit or other 'undiscovered' tier 1 SMU or AFO task force unit that shares similar resources and even personnel said known tier 1 units, it would be easy to misidentify them.

Of course honestly most of these covert units are just a bunch of nebulous elite dudes who change name, people composition, and funding/equipment as the task suits them.

Sometimes all you really need to know is that they are more special than you.

I always figured cag/delta/st6 were a lot older guys.
Saw this one seal on base who loooked positively ancient and had a red beard. Wore civilian cold weather gear and just had a pistol in a very early velcro holster.

The other seals i saw on base were pretty much your high speed guys with all high speed gear and tats and oakleys but wit no beards.

they do run to older, considering they only take people who are serving or prior-service

IIRC to try out for DEVGRU you have to have 5 years time in a vanilla SEAL team. Not sure about CAG but my understanding is they're mostly taking SOF people with at least a few combat deployments
