Why do you never use a grenade that comes upside down in its canister?
what
Because it would be upside down.

In a box of M67's, they all come in little black canisters, and we are told to immediately put them back and dispose of them if they come fuse head down
I was just wondering why

Maybe you dont know if the fuse is caught on something that could let it go off?
t. Guy who doesn't understand how grenades work
Those are lefty grenades.

That's what I was thinking too
Maybe the whole spoon assembly would get caught on an edge and pop off

This guy knows what's up

theyre just testing your ability to follow simple fucking instructions without questioning them.

Never use a grenade that comes in its cannister period. Grenades need to contain themselves until the proper moment, premature ejaculation is a VERY bad trait in a grenade.
Basically I'm fairly certain that it's a combo of reasons
1) can't immediately tell whether safety measures are properly engaged
2) If they put it into the crate wrong, who knows what else they may have fucked up
It could also be because there's a chance that the fuze coud have been damaged being transported in that position or something. I have no clue, I'm only a PFC and my MOS has nothing to do with weapons, other than annual qualifications, so I have next to no experience with issued weapons.

Yea. That's about all I could think of it being too. The most likely being the fuse being damaged, and given how dangerous hand granades are it's not worth the risk using it when Uncle Sam will just give you another.
