hey dudes. I recently put this leupold vx-3i 3.5-10x40mm on my ar-15. I really don't know shit about scope. How tight do you guys tighten the rings? I don't have a torque screw driver. I know it's supposed to be 17 inch pounds but I have no idea how tight that is. I just got them tight enough that it's snug while pulling with one finger, my screws have dried blue loctite on them.

Thanks for that bit of advice. I put tightened them up as tight as a could tall ways, which is not very tight long ways. Should be enough to hold it in place on a .223. I had it much tighter when I mounted it this weekend. I took it back off tonight and checked for damage, which it didn't have any, and I remounted it.
