Speaking of new holsters, I recently took one of those Tagua / Remora "no-clip non-slip" holsters (which I find to be higher quality than 'sticky' brand holsters) and added a soft belt loop from an old Galco. Did the same for a mag caddy. Result is the most comfy appendix carry, much softer than wearing kydex up front. pic related

Fair question. A good holster will protect the trigger guard so that the trigger cannot be pulled. Good weapons handling practice tells us to keep our finger off the trigger and outside of the trigger guard until our sights are on target and we are ready to shoot. Good weapons handling practices also dictate that one should properly maintain their weapon. The traditional four rules of gun safety tell us not to point a weapon at ourself. This is good advice. Gun safety is a layered system of security, if one layer of security fails, the other should cover your ass. Having said that, if you choose to intentionally break this cardinal rule of gun safety, it may be wise to implement a substitutive new layer in its place. My 'substitutive rule' is that I train with a manual safety for carrying in this position.

For those anons who where kindly worried about my balls, I also have this nice Winthrop holster for traditional carry. Highly recommend if you want a leather holster, they are about $50 on their website and amazon. All hand made in the US, they have a youtube channel which shows all the models and how they make them.

Not that guy, but what do you want to know about the JM?

I've been carrying my VP9 in a JM AIWB with the wing claw & neoprene wedge for 6 or 7 months, and IMO it's excellent. Much more comfy than my G19 in an Incog that I carried before.

The foam wedge seemed gimmicky but I got it anyway, and it's the shit. I don't get any "hot spots" when carrying appendix all day, sitting down, standing up, etc. It also conceals better than my incog+g19 because the foam wedge and claw together push the grip into my belly.

The wait and cost suck, but I definitely recommend it.

Dropped by to fill out paperwork today for my second job, the girl was like, "here's your blah blah paperwork and the no weapons policy" which I chuckled at as I had my CZ on my hip. There's no way I'm carrying through that shitty neighborhood, so I'm going to bring a backpack and stash my pistol in there until after work and then put it on outside.
