Anybody on /k/ have an Uberti-made peacemaker replica (whether Taylors, Cinamarron, etc.) that can help me out? I'm seeing a weird machining mark or crack where the case-hardened receiver meets the forcing cone. Can somebody look at theirs to see if they see the same or post a picture so I can see what theirs look like.

I have a Cimarron Model P. Stand by and I will go dig it out and get you a photo.

That's obviously a crack and you should not fire it. Either send it back if it's under warranty or buy a new SAA barrel and have it rebarrelled.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary.
Circle what you think the problem is

Thanks

That's the thing though. Where's the other side of the crack? The receiver ends at that edge, the barrel threads into the hole that's concentric with the forcing cone. I don't think it could be a crack because no material was ever there

It looks like a casting mark. Uberti uses cast frames, so I doubt it is an issue. Smiths can have that large relief around the cone as well, but a bit cleaner.
I'm sure it's fine. That would have been hard to miss during assembly.

And in the same spot on the left side of the forcing cone in all of the other pictures

I thought you were talking about the crack in the barrel.

Phew, that makes me feel better. I'm still going to have a gunsmith check it out to be safe. Just made me worried because the ejector tube flew off after a shot, and I checked out the gun and noticed that mark after I found all of my parts. Thought maybe I had a timing issue and the forcing cone got struck. The last round felt normal though.

I second this opinion.
In the 2ed pic it looks like a rough edge they didn't debur. It should not affect anything function wise.

I believe that is just a rough relief cut after it was threaded. Shouldn't be dangerous just not pretty.

Looks like you've got the same mark. I suppose it's just a rough machining mark like >>33211343, >>33211392, and >>33211422 said

It's jizz.
