S&W 19 is my fucking favorite revolver and I don't even own it. My faggot ass brother bought it out from under me at the gunstore I saw it at.

686 in 4-6in barrel
don't believe the hype

My answer was better so you didn't even need to post. Who does that?

WTF I'm totally filled with rage now.

This. I just picked one up the other day for 275, slightly used. Pretty damn accurate at 15 yards
any of the single actions that Ruger makes.
>>33210227
I bought a nagant revolver. Autism round, meme handgun. $200.
worth desu. low recoil like a 32
Schofield
i like my 642

This, or a Ruger GP100. If you want something to conceal carry then get a SP101 or J-Frame.
>>33210251
I own one. I love it, but I've read that the forcing cone can crack if you put a lot of Magnum rounds through it. If I was going to choose between it and a new stainless 686 for carrying, I would choose the latter.

>acquire Ruger Match Champion
>install Wolff medium weight spring kit
>never look at another revolver again. you good senpai.
Is an Armscor M200 any good? I heard they can use Colt Detective grips
>>33211104
The k-frame 357s will do infinite 357 magnum rounds as long as they're heavy grain bullets.

S&W mod 29

They aren't rated for +P despite being all-steel. That should tell you all you need to know.

An excellent revolver.
But probably not an excellent *first* revolver.
>>33210371
How shit is the trigger, and can you still get conversion cylinders?
Webley or nothing ol boy.
>>33215140
How expensive are Webleys these days?
>>33210227
Your op, if you can get it. Need never buy another 357. Ever.
>>33217379
depends, the local Cabelas has a few in .455 and .22. the .22 wasn't bad, but the two in .455 were very different prices because one had a shaved cylinder I think and the other was original. I think they wanted $1200 for the original? and like $500 for the .22
>>33211623
Interesting, can you please explain?
>>33217463
Light fast bullets break forcing cones.
>>33210227
If you've never shot revolvers before then I suggest a S&W 17 (or 18) and a few hundred range hours with that. Then, depending on what you actually want to do with said revolver you should either get a S&W 14 (if you find that you gravitate towards target shooting), a 4" 28, 686 or some such if you decide what you want is a "do everything" revolver, a S&W 638 if what you want is something to CC, or a S&W 629 with a 5" minimum barrel length if what you want to do is hunt with it.

In Murrica, I'd say just about anything made by Colt, Smith and Wesson, or Ruger would fit the bill honestly.
I'd say a Ruger GP100 in .357 magnum would be a good bet. Not to pricey and built like a tank, start off firing .38 special till you're used to it then jump up to .357.
Manurhin's are supposed to be great; but they're pricey and uncommon on this side of the pond.
>>33210227
A large one.
>>33210227
The classic go-to is the S&W 625
686 for .38 and .357
>>33210227
A S&W Model 10 or other K-frame with a 3" or 4" barrel
Very little recoil with .38, very accurate
If you really, really wanted to CC it you could, though it's not ideal, if that's one of your considerations
