There's no "best" handgun that's the most efficient, has the best capacity, effective range, weight, trigger, action, muzzle velocity etc. Handguns are already terrible at killing people, the quote unquote *best* handgun is the one one you're most comfortable shooting. That's everything from, weight to shot placement to ammo economy and carry comfort.

There's obviously acceptions (an Hk Mk. 23 is for sure better than a hi-point) but the more experience you have with a firearm the more effectively you can use it.
