What's hands down the best. 40 cal handgun?
>>33207564
Probably the USP .40
>>33207564
one could argue that the p229 was designed for that new cartridge. however we all know the USP .40 is a better gun in every way.
I got you OP
>>33207590
I love my p229 .40, amazing gun.

>pistol designed for 9mm
no thanks

Glock 20. The round it shoots is 40 cal.

The one chambered in 10mm
The one you can sell for a .45
>>33207564
this >>33207660
Just get a 10mm and fire 40 out of it. That way you get the best of both worlds.
>>33207564
Px4 Storm. Smoothest .40 I've ever shot.
>>33207674
Get a .40 USP, convert it to 10mm and fire .40 out of it. That way you get the best of both worlds.
>>33207564
P30 in .40, i like it. shoots like a 9, power of a 40.
>>33207674
>Just spend twice the money to get a gun you have to fire .40 one round at a time out of and then spend god knows how much on actual 10mm if and when you can find it
10mm is a hell of a round, but it's a meme
>>33207564
USP. It was made for the .40
>>33207564
>>33207576
This but also FNS-40L
It's the softest shooting .40 I've ever had the pleasure of getting to know

I've always wondered just how good the PX4 was?
How's your experience with it? Mainly the reliability?
>>33209569
It's resoundingly "meh" from my experience, but it's beretta quality, well made and has a cult following, I guess it's one of those things you either get or don't get
this'n.
>>33209594
All I care about is reliability.
How reliable is it?
>>33207564
the gun the cartridge was originally designed for. fucking duh.
>>33209628
Never seen or heard of any significant issues.
Word of mouth is it's dead-nuts reliable like most other modern designs from reputable manufacturers.
My thing is I use a very aggressive high tang grip and my thumbs get in the way of the slide cycling, same reason I can't train on my gucci HKs.
Glock 35
>>33209569
Original anon you replied to here. I liked it as a home defense gun, since I'm not crazy about the slide safety. Very smooth, and it never failed to shoot anything I fed it, from factory reloads to LE hollow points.
Aftermarket is shit, but if you don't care about that, I'd recommend it as an out-of-the-box gun.
>>33209702
I always forget this Glock exists.
>>33209628
I remember some people reporting that the rotating barrel ends up requiring more meticulous maintenance than competing designs. They're allegedly like the slide rails on a SIG, in that you need to keep them greased and not just oiled if you want the gun to run well.
Got a Ruger SR40c, and man the recoil is nothing. Feels like a 9mm, and super accurate. Feels great in the hand.
Recently added some Talon grips on it, made it even better.
