Imo pistol grips don't really add to it, they're not more comfortable or make the gun more maneuverable, and the stock forend is just as good as good as the top aftermarket ones, maybe a thinner one if you have manlet hands but mine aren't big and can comfortably grasp the forend.

It's the best all purpose scatter gat on the market and any significant improvement will cost you nearly as much as the gun itself.

I like the ESSTAC velcro shotgun cards. Holds the rounds well, has a strip of rubber underneath the shells to keep them secure under recoil, no issues with the cards falling off as long as you're using a good strip of industrial loop velcro on your receiver.

Get a set of magpul furniture. It is an improvement in comfort over the factory stuff and maybe the sling loop if you already have a single point sling.

A sling and then whatever you're going to put shells in. Personally I'd go with a belt pouch.

But anyone know where the fuck you can get the high capacity kit for the 500? Not the drum kit, just the one that comes with a new 18.5" barrel and an extended tube

I have had my 500 for like 15 years, always been a trusty hunting gun. But I was considering getting a new hunting shotgun and wanting to tactifag up my old 500. Is it just me or has brownells been sold out of the high capacity kit for years now. Every time I check on a whim they never have them, been doing this every few weeks for 5+ years now

grats, got an 870 as my first gun last year.

Don't get a shell carrier that uses pins that go through your receiver. it can fuck up your elevator assembly a bit. I haven't tricked mine out at all, just added an archangel stock and shell carrier. my ar is what I put my cash into.

The point being I want to buy a better shotgun for hunting, and trick out my old gun because I love it, want to keep it, and always wanted a tactical/combat shotgun. Literally my only beef with the 500 is you have to get a new barrel and new tube all together instead of just buying the little tube extensions like the 870

There has got to be more than one site, brownells can't be the only fucking place that sells them. I have seen them once or twice elsewhere but same thing, perpetually sold out

Anyone here have a Benelli M4? How's the ergos if you're a lefty? Had to get rid of my SPAS-12 because it's too awkward to operate if you're a left-handed shooter.

I own a Remington 870 and I can confirm this is an issue with mine. Out of 100 shells, 20-40 shells failed to eject, stove piped, or got stuck in the chamber. I sent it into a repair shop under warranty. I'm not really impressed with its performance, especially since it's my home defense gun. I hope they fix this issue.
