Alright, you want to really fuck some shit up? heres a down and dirty loadout for you

Helmet, Goggles, Face protection-use your best discretion for what you want to use.

Body armor: you can go to any used sporting goods store and find used motocross gear, its lightweight, not terribly bulky, but it will protect you from a range of stuff, even though its not super tough.
hockey pads are your next best option, but are bulkier and much warmer to wear depending on how long you will be out there.
Shin guards and arm guards are a must. better to go a size larger on the arm guards and pad it or even use some smaller shin guards as a ghetto vambrace.

if you want to get a bit more into it, get yourself a turtlle neck sweater that fits you, a black and a different color hoodie that fits you, and depending on what you want to do for body armor, a black hoodie a few sizes too large for you, and a similar hoodie thats too large that is a different color.

with the smaller black hoodie, get a pop rivet gun, a jig saw, a drill and a plastic 50 gallon rain barrel. cut the rain barrel into rough shapes using pic related as a template, a bit of experimenting to get it to work for you is fine. the main areas you want to protect are the sternum, the spine, and the kidneys. think lobster shell or Lorica Segmentata and overlap the plates a bit where you can.

if you get really into it, get a heat gun to help form the plates so they lay a bit flatter.

if you use a shield keep it simple and disposable. measure the between the point of your elbow and your knuckles, multiply by two and cut a circle that wide.

have it centered on your forarm, mark where the crook of your elbow and palm lay, drill two holes above and below your arm and run a loop of at least 3/4 inch thick rope/cord/what have you through, tie knots to keep the loop. you want it to be loose enough you can drop it and run, but tight enough its not flopping around.

for a weapon, a good hardwood dowel roughly 3 to 3 1/2 feet long works great.

drill a hole in one end and run a loop of paracord around it, keeps you from losing it, dont do the loop too tight to keep you from dropping it if you have too.
do a simple spiral pattern about a foot up from the lanyard end with paracord and cover it in sport tape/hockey tape, some kind of nice grippy tape, give you a good solid grip. wear some kind of protective glove, mechanix or even better a hockey glove, because getting hit in the fingers sucks DICK.

wrap the rest of the dowel in hockey tape as well, double layered is even better. this helps prevent splintering to some degree, keeps you effective longer.


now the whole idea is that the body armor is low profile, you wear the larger size hoodie over the top in order to conceal it, as for leg armour, if you can fit your pants over it all, great, otherwise just buy a large pair of sweats or something to cover it up.

go in, fuck some shit up, break contact, get away, ditch the dowel dowel, shield, black hoodie and headgear, pull the oversized other color hoodie on over it and act casual as you make your escape.

for a shield i would recomend making a kite shield from black 50gal plastic drums, pepsi co. uses them for soda ingredients, the plastic is damn near impenetrable, and i used one doing SCA type sparing.

A bit of grinding on the hammer face can give it the same biting teeth that historical warhammers had for sticking onto targets on impact rather than sliding off and the claw side could be shortened and sharpened. If one has the skills you could add reinforcing langets to it but I don't know if a lacquered wood handle will take it without cracking.

I'm a maintenance worker. It's not glamorous or intellectually demanding. What it is, though, is varied. I do carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, roofing, grounds maintenance, janitorial, physical security checks, courier duties, and machinery repair. A robot that does all of that, reliably, will weigh several tons and cost probably in the high 6 digits/low 7 digits. It'll also be about the size of a small U-Haul truck.

I make $18.78 per hour. The cost of one robot will buy a lot of my hours.

Bullshit. They're going to replace Diesel semi trucks, of which there are millions on the road and cost about $80-$150K each. If autonomous electrics replace Diesels, it's going to take at least 50 years to happen just from a capital investment standpoint. That half century starts once they finish working out the bugs in the system. Right now, they're still in the latter part of the proof of concept phase.

There's also the infrastructure upgrades that need to be done before autonomous vehicles are truly viable.
