This gun was passed down to me as a child. Any idea about it? I've tried Googling around but haven't found too much on this particular gun as it is a 28 gauge.

I have one in 12gauge. The model 37 was only made for about 7-10years in the 60s if i recall.

well, it appears to be a Winchester Model 37a single shot in 28 gauge
you're gonna have to be a bit more specific if you don't want smartass answers.

It's a single shot Winchester shotgun. About all there is to know, really. It's not worth much money wise, so keep it as an heirloom. I have a later production Model 370 12ga. which was made in the 70s. Both model 37s and 370s shoot very well for what they are. Just don't try to run slugs through it as the full chose is fixed.

You forgot to mention, it has a full choke, and it was made in Leaf country out of wncester proof steel

We used bronze sights in my day, youngster.

You and your fancy schmancy cast parts!
We had to make scratch notches on the rear and front ends of the gun and use that as sights!
