Can anyone help me confirm this helmet is correct. It appears to be a Korean War era USMC helmet, at least the liner is. If anyone can help me that would be awesome! The colour on the steel pot itself is really throwing me off but the liner is defiantly legit.

Where'd you get it? Maybe someone kept the cover but let their kid played "army man" with it and spray painted it toy soldier green.

I work at a surplus store, someone brought it in. The liner seems like it hasn't been frigged with. Maybe o should just replace the steel pot, unless someone can confirm that at some reason they were painting like that.

try those milsurp general threads, you might get an anon who knows everything about the M1 helmet for some reason

I was hoping one of the snobs from there would see the thread and the main image, if I don't have any luck that's where I will try next! For a $20 investment I don't think I can go wrong

if the helmet was fucked with but you can still prove the cover is an original period piece of camo you might make more off selling them individually. Just an idea.

The cover is defiantly legit, all the parts are legit, I'm just assuming the steel pot is fucked with, probably hair a matter of deciding to sell as is, replace the steel pot, or part it out

The liner is a post vietnam paratrooper liner, the extra button on each side was to connect an extra peice from the shell's chinstrap, will need more pics the hemlet

We stuck that under my bosses fest as a joke, it's been there since. We have a bunch of exotic dance companies who like to buy military style clothing for their performances.

That FS knife is sexy. How would I come across such an item?
