Does the spring push them forward while the bolt goes back? Then if the chamber is that far up why have a fucking bullpup. I don't know man. What the shit.

>The weapons were gas operated with annular gas piston located around the barrel and a vertically moving bolt, which made it possible to minimize the length of the receiver group. A U-shaped rammer/extractor was used to chamber and extract the cartridge by pushing it into the chamber where after discharge was pulled back from the chamber and again, upon feeding the new cartridge, pushed forward and slightly up into an ejection tube above the barrel where finally exiting above the muzzle. Due to this ejection mechanism it was possible to fire from both right and left arm positions.
>>
Pic related. Don't want it necessarily for the rifle itself, as those are fairly cheap in the right places. I want it to be made again because that mean they will produce more affordable ammo for it.

this gun looks like it has down syndrome.
is the magazine in the back just a reserve or is it the active mag? if it is the latter, how the fuck does the firing pin engage the rounds?

It cant have an internal mag since if that was the case, there wouldnt need to be that mag in the first place, so the only logical conclusion is that the mag in the back is being engaged by the firing pin. but how? why was this gun made

also how the hell are you supposed to hold that thing? the space between the trigger guard and the barrel seems too cramped.

also, why is the whole thing made out of wooden furniture?

this gun, so many questions...
>>
>>33190927
i donno man, maybe there is a super compact spring in the back of the mag that catapults the rounds to the bolt

Long stroke gas operation (ring shaped piston like rod that surrounded the barrel) with a vertical sliding bolt and a U shaped extractor. Was considered more accurate and reliable than the current AKM production rifle and had the same barrel length in a reduced overall length (Sealed system, design was able to reduce recoil effectively, ambidextrous, 34.6"/36.2" OAL in AKM/AKMS vs 20.7" OAL in TKB-022PM, much lighter by 3-4 lbs). It was turned down by the Soviet brass because they saw it as too radical amd they worried that the bakelite would break easily.
>Fun fact: The designer is German
>>
>>33196196

Apparently break-actions are inherently weaker than modern designs. However, I would like a six o'clock position revolver that doesn't look like ass.

>Why doesnt someone just start making them in a machine shop?

Buy your own home machine shop and have at it. You can outfit a decent home shop with a use industrial lathe, mill, VFDs or RPC, and basic tooling for about ten grand.

If want CNC, add more money but there are quite a few CNC open knee milling machines giving you the versatility of both. Many professional machinists use CNC mills old enough that they still take floppy discs. (USB conversions are easy.)
