Found a guy who wants my Keltec su-16A in exchange for a sporterized Jap Aristaka 7.7 and a numbers matching 8mm mauser. Should I?
The Aristaka
Another of the mauser. Why is the other number strike-through?

>sporterized
IMO that makes the Arisaka nearly worthless; finding replacement parts is a pain and it still will be mis-matched. The M48 is worth about $300.

I was hoping to restore it... pretty scarce tho?
Mauser
Last one of the mauser

Just be aware, unless you are very very lucky it will cost you more in parts than it will be worth once re-assembled.
The SU16 is worth like $500 right?
>>33188965
Be sure to have him throw in a non-running boat motor or ATV and some silver
>>33189066
Yeah mine was about that. Idc about the cost to refurb the jap i dropped 300 redoing a 1919 Enfield last year
A non bubbad Arisaka stock is about 200-300 depending on series.and metal presence. Nevermind finding one with the correct arsenal markings.
You're looking at $300 for the m48 if its matching, and about 120-150 for the arisaka depending on features and what bubba didn't fuck.

Im iffy anout the Yugo Mauser. Its probably a Mitchells even tho the guy swears its a "real numbers matching"
>>33189158
Mitchell's was a big importer of the M48;s. They didn't really do anything to them like they did to the Russian capture K98's they renumber.
>>33189158
It doesn't look like a Mitchell's pimp-shine job to me. Besides, if it were it's have their import mark on it. Looks like a typical refurb to me.
>>33188998
This. A few years ago I bought a pristine Type 38 carbine that was sporterized, and finding a stock with metal will cost nearly as much as me buying a complete piece.
>>33189023
Type 99 isn't AS bad, it really comes down do what you are willing to put into it.
>>33188974
I wouldn't get a rifle from a man with those finger nails.
>>33188986
That means the rifle was arsenal refurbished. The original serial was marked out and the new one written on with an electro pencil. Tl,dr: it's not completely numbers matching.
>>33188965
no. You can easily buy a keltec su 16a but you can't get the same rifles easily
>>33189204
Means he's a hardworking man unlike you lazy MILLENNIAL
>>33189204
>The original serial was marked out and the new one written on with an electro pencil. Tl,dr: it's not completely numbers matching.
The new serial number is obviously stamped; not electro-penciled.
>>33189197
Well if I'm getting a m48 and an aristaka basically free (ive come to hate that keltec garbage) i dont mind showing love to the aristaka
>>33189235
You're right.
>>33189242
Then by all means, show it some love. They deserve it.
>>33189242
The Keltec is actually fucking worthless. You won't ever get more than 400 bucks for it. At the very least, an M48 is guaranteed to appreciate.
>>33189272
Thats my thought. I posted a "what would you give me for it" on the keltec a few months back, and aside from /k/ being lowballing dickholes I was not surprised that nobody was offering close to what I have in it
>>33189272
>The Keltec is actually fucking worthless.
Anytime you can ditch a KelTec for something that actually works, do it.
>>33189346
Im surprised the guy wants it, considering how badly a younger, dumber, teenage self bubba'd the fuck out of it.
>>33188974
Well unfortunately the nip who had scratched out the factory mark beacuse MEH honour so there's one reason I wouldn't
>>33189378
Is there any way to fix it?
>>33189378
A removed mum only lowers the value by at most $50
>>33189374
Oh god your forend placement is hideous
>>33189507
Midwest industries ak rail
>>33189374
Hey I remember making fun of you in that thread.
I told you that no one would ever want it IIRC.
>>33189626
Well some army/nat guard hummer mechanic does, and hes willing to give me 2 milsurps for it lol
