AND THIS... IS TO GO... EVEN FURTHER... BEYOND!
>>33185581
>there are people who buy Mosins, SKS's, Mausers, etc and put them in Crapco stocks or even abominations like OP's pic
I don't understand. Why would you buy that garbage when a surplus stock in good condition costs all of ~$35?
>>33185581
>>33185681
>Why would you buy that garbage
Why not?
It IS their gun, they can do whatever the hell they want.
>>33185581
What the fuck is wrong with this person?
>>33185581
I feel like this is poorly machined, but the concept bears *some* merit. It reminds me of the blaser r93 a little bit.
Also, mosins don't really benefit from free floating. The barrel's too thin. The stock actually improves barrel harmonics on this sort of rifle.
>>33185581
So where are the sights?
Its just one of millions they said
Its *their* rifle they said
Its just a $100 rifle they said
Its just a $150 rifle they said
A Mosin isn't worth $200 they said
>Paying $250 for a nugget
They green texted
Why are mosins $300 they wondered
>>33185741
Sure, but I still have the right to criticize their shit taste. I do the same for the fuckheads who "sportorize" things like Mosins and Enfields.
>>33185904
Unfortunately people don't seem to understand the concept of inflation and limited supply. To put that in numbers, $1.00 USD in 2001 is now equal to ~$1.42 USD in 2017. Combine that with the fact that there will never be more Mosins, Mausers, Enfields, SKS's, or so on, and you get a formula for expensive weapons.
We all joke about how it's dumb to pay $250 for a Mosin now, or how a $350 Chinese SKS is a mediocre deal, but I can promise you both will be seeing ludicrous prices in 10-20 years from now due to the dwindling supply, the scarcity of ones in top condition, and the inflation of money in general.
>>33185581
so someone attached a barrel to an erector set?

I am the hope of the Universe. I am the answer to all living things that cry out for peace. I am protector of the innocent. I am the light in the darkness. I am truth. Ally to good, Nightmare to you!
>>33185785
especially when properly shimmed
>>33185904
>Why are mosins $300
because retarded autists made the nugget a meme and thus demand rose while supplies dwindled, the nugget(excluding finn examples) is not worth more than $150. at this point no one buys a nugget unless it is for the memes or because they only get advice from /k/ circa 2010
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>>33190526
>grippod
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>>33185681
Because an SKS is a rugged, reliable and cheap utility rifle with little to no collector value and I wanted a pistol grip stock that could get wet without me caring about it.
Dunno why anyone would try to tacticool out a Mosin or Mauser though.
>>33192551
>not just using a Chinese fiberglass stock if you want to get it wet
>>33185581
>People pay $200 for a nugget
>People put them in 1-300 dollarydoo custom stocks
>People buy $250 timney trigger groups for them
>Rifle still has a shot out bore firing an archaic rimmed cartridge with expensive match ammo or bore destroying steel jacketed surplus
>You can get a 3 shot group sub moa tikka t3 for $450 to 500 and a decent 3-9x40 scope for 200.
>You can get an OK/10 savage axis II combo for $450 with a nikon or Burris scope
>>33190526
This is pretty fucking ugly
>>33193531
I like my m44 but my tikka blows it away any day of the week
>>33193531
You're right about everything except for the ammo bit. 54R is still a pretty good round, all things considered. Surplus is fine too as long as you're cleaning out the corrosive stuff.
Also, it isn't hard to find a surplus rifle with a never fired barrel.
>>33185581
Why don't people just ruin guns the good old fashioned way?
>>33193689
I own 4 mosin variants, m44, 91-30, Finn m91, and finn m39
Once I got that m39 it's the only thing I shoot regularly with white box generic new production ammo.
Not one of my guns has a shot out bore but they all have shit triggers, even the m91 finnnugget has a long heavy take-up
And I work in a gun shop, so I know what's worth buying. Ain't a nugget anymore.
>>33190526
How the fuck are you supposed to work the bolt?
>>33193992
>>33194244
with your mouth.
>>33185879
this
>>33193992
>I don't get it, it's just a stubby AR--
>wait a minute, that bolt
>oh dear God
>>33193992
>mfw seeing the bolt
HOLY FUCK.
