No, it doesn't.

Guns stab better than knives; guns don't OTOH slash.

Slashing is not as effective at instantaneous incapacitation, and it's not as good at starting a bleed. It is better at doing systemic mechanical damage, which is better for fast incapacition than non-gun stabbing, and can cause just as much bleeding if there is an opportunity.

Not a fan of the traditional karambit really, but the ring on the back of a waved knife is very useful for deploying in the reverse hold.
