Just bought this POS as my first gun. (Jennings j-22)
Any guns you bought for novelty?
I've got one of these little pieces of shit for $50, because it was $50.

Maybe in 1852

Two, I suppose. Bought a Webley Mk. IV because I've always loved the design and an 1895 Nagant because it was only $100.

Not at all. For civilians, if the rifle cannot be used for hunting then it is a novelty.
Dressing up like a ninja and shooting your little guns at the range = novelty.

What about home defense? Is the shotgun in my closet a novelty?

Technology advances, and keeping up with possible offence is plenty of reason for it not to be novelty.
You can, and I have, hunt with a longbow - which would make using bolt actions a novelty.

you paid 50 dollars too much
Are meme guns novelty? Cause if so I have a couple.
