Thnx man, I'm thinkin about it. For now I'm pretty reluctant to go through the whole tax stamp bs, and with the way legislation may be going I'm hoping I won't have to do that at all. Lgs keeps telling me I can do the stamp and get a rebate for the $200 if the restrictions are repealed, but then that would be waiting for a $200 check from some bureaucratic govt office, so I'm dubious about that at best.

In the meantime I'm looking at putting the paddle mag release in and maybe a red dot on it.

The USP was originally made for the .40 so it's probably ideal. With the .40 and 9mm you can get the jet funnel for extra rounds. With the 9 it puts it at 18+1, on the .40 I think it puts it at 16+1.

I've got the USP Expert in 9, I think I'm going to get a standard and Expert in. 45 if I can find them.

I've got 11 handgats now, but these are the ones I took to the range today.

Start off with the Buckmark, to see how shitty I'm shooting, then practice with the shitty CCW handgat, then moved into the USP and CZ. Recently put a competition hammer and SA trigger from CZCustom in, did a home trigger job with a fine diamond file, and whoa. Huge improvement. The USP LEM trigger is also a lot better in practice than I thought it would be.

After going to the range I stopped by my LGS to look at reflex sights I plan to put on the CZ, and a CZ rep stopped by with a Shadow2 and a P-10C that I got to handle/dry-fire/mongle.

Got a free hat. It was a good day.

Just bought my first suppressor - Rugged Obsidian 45. Primarily going on this thing and a Scorpion, but no I'm thinking about doing a .45 as well.

I've wanted a Springfield Operator MC forever, but the added cost for suppressor sights and threaded barrel fitting is making me think USP Tactical or FNX-45T might be better. Any other ideas?

I've heard conflicting talk on the P99's trigger. Some say it's the exact same as the PPQ trigger, and others say that the PPQ trigger is better.
Any opinions? I want to get a P99 as a home defense and possible carry gun because I'm used to and prefer DA/SA, and it looks better, but I might just stick with a PPQ if it's really just the better gun.

They're different but similar enough that pic related works.

The P99 (AS) single stage is very much like the PPQ, but is a little lighter. Break and reset are nearly identical. PPQ doesn't have a DA trigger obviously, or a decocker. The P99 single stage however has a looooong take-up because it's DA/SA. PPQ is always the same relatively short take up for every pull.

Both triggers are world class excellent.

P99 QA is dogshit. Avoid.
