I am going to by my first revolver, calibre .357
What are your suggestions /k/?
I have experience in 9mm pistols, but I've never owned a revolver. I'll mostly just use it for practice at my local range, at 25m and 50m.
If doubles I will screenshot your suggestion and if I end up buying that model I will post a picture with your suggestion later.

If you just want something for the range or maybe to keep in your vehicle, I would reccoment the Ruger GP100 with a 4 inch barrel. It's durable, looks nice, feels awesome to shoot. If you want something for CC then the Ruger SP101 isn't a bad deal either.

Go get a Magnum Research .45-70 BFR
>>
>>33182818
I second >>33183005 on the GP100 recommendation, amazing gun for shooting, glorious hand cannon aesthetics, and quite possibly the best grip on a revolver I've ever experienced.

S&W 686+ (7 inch, 7 shot)
If I roll 7s it's a contract with kek
>>
Third for gp100, own a six inch one, if you can find a 4" barrel I'd have bought that. S&W 686 has a lighter trigger, but higher price, both are great revolvers.
>>
>>33183231
Don't be pussy, buy the largest caliber as is allowed by local law enforcement.
>>
>>33183337
What are you talking about, OP asked about .357's
>>
>>33183348
Get a 45/70, 500 mag, or 460sw.

Larger caliber means larger penis.
>>
>>33183041
I guess. Definitely looking into this. It's not for CC, I would use a pistol for that if I ever got into it.
>>
>>33183073
there's on 7 so it's at least a good sign
>>

guys, .357. My penis is average.
Main reason is that my range won't allow larger calibres because they gripe about their targets being shot up.
>go to another range
too much bother to commute

How much do you want to spend?

Smith & Wesson 686+ 6" (4" if you've ever want to carry it).
Check out the Ruger GP100 too and see if you like the feel of them better.
Honestly, I don't like the newer grips on the S&W, but Hogues makes some great inexpensive grips.

>Hogues
Thanks for that, I really like the look of their hardwood grips.
Money isn't that much of an issue, I am willing to pay for quality.

Carrying however isn't going to happen, I'm in Switzerland not the US. We can own all the guns we like, but no CC (unless you are a registered bodyguard or something), if you are caught illegally carrying a weapon they crucify you and also take away all your guns.

+1 for GP100 in .357. They're great guns, especially for the money. If I'm taking someone shooting and they want to try a revolver I always give them the GP100.
>>
>>33182818
Yet another +1 on Ruger GP100. I own the 6 inch Steel finished one. It's overbuilt and heavy but it's reliable, durable, and accurate. Aftermarket is pretty solid too. You can get a picatinny rail, laser grips, and/or alternate front/rear sights if you want.

Save your shekels on couple of these North American Arms revolvers and stuff them in your pockets.

You'll never need to reload.

another +1. shot this 2 weeks ago.
solid, simple, sexy, relatively inexpensive.
gonna buy one of their .38 LCRs for CC
>>
>>33188028
I have a LCR, its OK but I'd still pick a semi auto 9mm to CC

Cleaning is a good deal more intense than with semi auto. There are so many more surfaces that need cleaning regularly, because unlike the semi (where the rounds are basically chambered in the barrel), revolvers have a slight gap between their cylinders and the barrel. Make your shooting sessions long, because you're wiping that thing down if even one bullet is fired. It's so much more obvious when a revolver needs to be cleaned.
On the plus side, no magazines to lose and a large range of ammo available. This makes it a great backpacking gun.
Furthermore, .357 kills bitches fucking DEAD. If the lack of mag cap doesnt scare you, .357 is a man stopper with a freakishly high 1 shot stop ratio.
>>
>>33182818
I have a 686 4 inch
...but I was going to get the gp100 when I initially purchased the gun. Sadly, this was during sandy hook, and the 3 gp100s in stock were gone before I could get there.
Anyway, I remember reading once that for some reason the 4 inch has slightly better velocity than the 6 inch. Cant find source though
