I had a dream where everybody was unemployed due to expansive automation and anybody who wasn't an elite lived off of a trickle of subsidized income via UBI. The worst part was when nobody wanted to try and change shit because they were content with their pitiful lives being filled with entertainment and consumer products.

I really, really hope it doesn't happen because it scared the shit out of me more than any spoopy dream. It's interesting what your mind drags up from your subconscious while you sleep, I really don't think about this sort of stuff much while I'm awake.
