That's just my personal experience. I've read a little of the criticisms of the design and I think there are very valid points made in objection to parts of it, but for practical purposes these less than perfect parts of the design don't seem to hamper the sight. Is it the best it can possibly be? No, seemingly not. Is it good enough that you don't have to worry about it? I would say yes. I would also add that it's very easily more robust than anything the average civilian shooter actually require, and even people that give it genuinely hard use on the level of a load of gun ignorant bong infantrymen should find it perfectly satisfactory.
