1. There's so much steel cased 7.62x39 options that bass cased ammo is a niche, and not bought at the same quantity.

2. A good AK will reliably shoot steel; no need for brass

3. The only rifles that need brass in this caliber(Mini 30) are somewhat uncommon compared to ak rifles.

Good luck reloading brass shot out of an AK. It'll dent the ever loving fuck out of the cases, and the ejection pattern alone makes it a bitch to collect the cases. People don't reload for AK's because of those two reasons
