Buyer's remorse edition

Just bought this Nova today (first shotgun even though I have 12 other guns), specifically for turkey hunting. Called friend whose land I hunt, only to find out he's selling before turkey season starts.

>Wish I had saved another 2 weeks for a super black eagle so I could at least bust clays or hunt waterfowl

A local gun shop. Coincidentally he has had another Swede m/96 on the rack for 3-4 years, and when I went in last week I just assumed it was the same one. That one had been fitted for target sights that were later removed leaving an ugly dovetail and screw holes in the receiver bridge, and the rear sight leaf had no aperture. Out of habit I pulled it down and just glanced over it idly, until I noticed that the rear sight was intact. Then I checked the receiver for holes and found it was not the same rifle I had been seeing for years. I asked if the rifle was his, rather than one on consignment, and if there was some room for negotiation in the price. He said it was, and offered to knock $50 if I paid in cash or check, which I did.

All serial numbers match. The bore is rated "1" with minor corrosion in the grooves. The bolt handle has been bent down, but a good gunsmith can repair that.

picking up a vepr 762x39 and a Windham carbon fiber ar15 in a couple days. kind of regret the ar15 though because my shop has a used bushmaster already decked out with a scope, ironsights and a flashlight for about the same price. blah.

MY NIGGA. My DE was my most recent purchase before this shotgun and I love it more every time I take it to the range.

My 1917 I picked up for $180 at auction on Sunday. Then shortly after I paid $25 for an original stock. The front sight ears were cut off, so I soaked the front sight in squirrel piss for about 18 hours and in about 10 hits with a brass hammer the front sight came off. Paid roughly $110 for handguards and other parts to complete the restoration and they'll be here next week.

>MCX the next awesome step in modular rifles
$1649 for 16" 556
Failure to fire, failure to eject, 1 in every 3 trigger pulls is failure. Learn to mortar the rifle to pull charging handle and clear, cartridges come out bent.
Back to Sig you go. Barrel chamber was undersized. New barrel and test fired (maybe sig should test fire their guns).
Now, have accuracy issues, seems lighter ammo gets inaccurate. I could send it back to Sig, but if they decide it meets their standards I get to pay for their efforts. Guess I'll just shoot slightly nicer ammo NBD.
Next, factory recall of BCG, apparently not compatible with after market triggers. Oh, BCGs are going on backorder.
>bought the hype on a piston rifle with the ability to quickly swap barrels for different calibers.
>barrels be back ordered for almost 2 years. Will it ever happen?
>Paid 1649 for a basic bitch AR with reliability issues.

My HR 622. I knew it only shot DA before I bought it (Supposed to be DA/SA), but found out that DA only works if you jerked the trigger. Glad it was only 60 bucks.

Why not bust clays and hunt waterfowl with the Nova? You don't need a swanky auto to do that with.

SP5K, semi auto. Man if I found a full auto I'd put it on layaway in a heartbeat

They're still like $2500 though right?

I actually slightly lied in OP, I sold my ghetto ass Remington 11-48 for it because the polychoke didn't pattern worth a fuck. Pump actions are definitely pleb tier for these activities, taking time to shuck an oafish pump around distracts me from lining up a followup shot. I think I'll keep the nova for durr and turkey fudding and save up for a nice O/U for waterfowl and clay busting.
>>
>>33175689
Busted clays for days with my buddy's nova, ain't nothing wrong with working an action

Just got a bolt for an arisaka my grandad brought back from WWII. Gonna clean the rust off and make it functional again. Same with his other one, but that one had the bolt already. He was always a fix it yourself kind of guy.
>>
My first gun was a glock 22, i only regard not buying a glock 19.

I an not into .40 anymore and i can't conceal carry it because it is a little too long to sit down with comfortably.

>The bolt handle has been bent down, but a good gunsmith can repair that.

why??
>>
>>33176338
Wouldn't have it any other way. I picked up a complete stock and hardware set for an M1903 for $25 right after I got the 1917 stock. There's no finish on the stock, but there's no cracks and minimal dents and dings. The bands and sling swivels have rust so I'll probably replace those, but now I can find a sportered 1903 and be able to restore it for pretty cheap.
>>
>>33177251
>why??
Bubba thinks it makes the bolt go faster.

Traded in a Bersa Thunder for an LCP 2

Figured if I'm going to carry a .380 it might as well be something small

Gonna get my weeb on soon. I also picked up a very nice condition 5904 on the cheap.

There's just something about 80-90s semi autos that clicks with me.

Got these one right after the other. The 22 is wearing a matching grip now though.

Really digging them both, wanted to get more into revolvers after shooting my 637 more over the summer.
