There are some "Loopholes":

What's interesting is that they banned all of the rifles by name so any rifle you see in a shop for sale is right now is exempt and cash and carry (no waiting period), regardless of how evil it looks.

Regarding the mags, it is illegal to transfer/sell mags >10 rounds in state but possession is legal. That means that you just buy whatever capacity mags you want out of state (which is usually under an hour drive for most spots in the state). This is completely legal and done by most everyone who is into EBRs.

The bad news is that the fuckers in Annapolis are always trying new shit. This year they are trying to make a 7-10 day wait on every purchase, even hunting rifles.
