The temperate forest regions are seasonal. Missouri here, and like a lot of other states flecktarn is best for spring/summer and multicam is best for fall/winter.

Arizona is all wrong. The Sonoran Desert is lush with cacti, mesquite, and palo verdes. Standard multicam (not arid) is perfect here. Further north in Arizona you get juniper scrub, then pine forests.

Arizona is too rocky for that camo pattern. Tropentarn looks to be much more effective from a test photo from the Cali part of the Sonora I saw on here a few days ago but regretfully didn't save.

Also woodland marpat doesn't really fit the forests here either.

East Tn checking in and it just kinda depends on the season. Winter I feel like multicam would work well. In the fall flecktarn MIGHT actually blend in pretty well. In the summer time you could almost get away with multicam arid due to the bright green of the trees but normal multicam would probably be the best best. As for spring, multicam is probably best.

As a NYer, I can say it's pretty inaccurate. It never gets dark enough for flecktarn to really work effectively. You always look like a dark green spotted blob. HOWEVER, Japanese JGSDF flecktarn is nearly perfect color combo. Another contender might be multicam, especially during early spring and fall in dry grass. I managed to completely vanish from people until I started moving, spooked them.

The chart is shit. It doesn't differentiate seasons, and there WAY too much Flecktarn.

In a mixed deciduous forest in the summer, with a dominated canopy and lots of undergrowth, Flecktarn works well. Anywhere else like fields, thin pine forests, meadows, shit like that it's too dark. It's much too dark for winter.

For where I live, which is southern West Virginia, what I'd go with would be:

Spring and Summer - MARPAT for max versatility, Flecktarn if you're just planning on propping yourself up against a tree innawoods
Early fall - Multicam or salty M81
Late fall and winter (no snow) - Multicam or Alpenflage.

Really, if you pick Multicam anywhere in the US, you're good. Certain camos work better in certain niche areas, but basic bitch MC will work well enough anywhere.
