I saw these Russian Helmets on my local fifth column military equipment store. The site refers to "Russian Protection Class 1". For what calibers is Russian protection class 1 rated?

The two look like you could combine them into a CVC helmet. If it's the same as the US CVC helmet, it'll be the same protection as a regular kevlar, which isn't spectacular if I remember right. But it should be fine for frag, falling debris, bumps, etc.
Also remember, kevlar has a shelf life.

Helmet 1 is made from a titanium alloy and helmet 2 is made from aramid. With option shelf life should not be a problem. I don't know about aramid.

Go with the first one then. It looks pretty high quality.

you posted a sfera and a zsh1, sferas are the most uncomfortable helmets on the earth, but theyre cool. zsh1s are pretty comfy, get that one instead. its made of steel and kevlar.
>>33171870
Zsh-1 is just kevlar.
Zsh-1-2 is kevlar + aluminum on top.
>>33172278
i was going to say youre wrong, but i just tested my 1-2 with a magnet and its non ferrous, so youre correct. the zsh1 is still much more comfortable than a sfera, and unless hes getting a 6b3 to go with it and going to reenact some soviet shit, then theres no point to it.
>>33170144
So thats something between level I and level II by western standard?
>>33173333
GOST 1 is somewhere around there, mostly shrapnel and 9 mak, gost 2 stops tok
>>33170081
Sferas are neat but even the updated """"""""lightweight"""""""" versions are extremely painful to wear for long periods of time.

what did he mean by this?

>(2x2) w/2
How much does it weight? Everyone bitches about helmet but really it isn't that bad.
>>33173477
about 5 pounds, but theres a lot more to helmet comfort than weight.
>>33173491
True, but everyone seems to exagerate how it is to wear ballistic helmets. Sure >nothing at all is better but it's generally not "awful".
>>33173521
its not helmets in general, its that the russians have a lot of heavy ass helmets. My ZSH1-2 with the mask is like 7 pounds, same as the altyn, k6-3, and similar helmets. 5 pounds in an uncomfortable package sucks ass to wear.
Shit like the 6b47 is really nice to wear though.
