WHY IS IT IMPOSSIBLE TO PULL MY CHARGING HANDLE EDITION

Seriously, what is the fucking deal with my PTR?

Been trying to fix this problem for months! When I fold out the charging handle it has began to take an absolute fuckload of force, where i have to put the buttstock on the ground and shove the handle back with my strength.

Over lubed it, nothing.
Put 140+ more rounds through, nothing.
Polished the bolt carrier, nothing.
Changed out the spring inside the bolt carrier. Nothing.
>>
>>33169620
The strong recoil spring is part of the delayed roller blowback design. if you can't run the action, consider some strength training, or getting another gun.
>>
Did you check out the area around the handle to make sure the metal isn't bent or deformed? It could be the handle rubbing against something that is stopping you from having a smooth operation.
>>
>>33169620
Honestly, quit being a bitch.
Either start lifting or get a boy's gun
>>
Is there anyone selling HK33s? So beautiful and the only options are extremely questionable Century gun, questionable Vector guns and those expensive Turk pistols
>>
>>33169651
>>33169644
Its obviously not a matter of strength you faggots. The gun worked just fine when it was new. Im talking about having to put dozens of pounds of pressure just to pull it back.

>>33169646
If i dont slap it home and put the bolt into battery i can still pull it normally. For that reason i dont think there is any deformed metal.
>>
>>33169646
also with the rifle dissassembled the handle moves up and down the cocking tube freely
>>
>>33171576
dyel?
>>

Yare yare.

>>33169656
Just get an HK93. Honestly none of the reproductions are worth dealing with. Maybe PoorfagTesting&Research will get off their asses with the PTR93 but I doubt it.
>>
>>33171576

If it's not in battery, it hasn't locked up and would still be just spring tension. Maybe there's something out of spec with your rollers or bolt.
>>
>>33169620

as usual this board is full of useless faggots

http://www.militaryfirearm.com/Forum/showthread.php?15297-Bolt-Gap-Cocking-tube-gap-check-for-builders-and-buyers

tldr: send back to PTR if angling the cocking handle to a right angle does not fully retract the rollers
>>
>>33171674
tl;dr another poorfag with bad choices in rifles links to a forum like it's 1996
>>
>>33171595
Figure out a way to keep it under spring tension and see if it still works fine without the trigger assembly in it. Start narrowing it down.
>>
>>33171687

another gun dilettante gets butthurt

go back to arfcom, faggot

Is the handle spring?
>>
>>33169620

I've got a pre-PTR INDEP and my issue is that I have large hands, so it's hard for me to grip the little fucker (same on my C93).

Get you some string/cord/copper wire/whatever the fuck you want to use, wrap that sumbitchin ass shit through the charging hole, and make you an extended rope thing-a-ma-jig handle
>>
>>33171674
Im 99% sure this is my problem. My charging handle gap must be too wide.

The post says this is a result of wear on the charging handle support. Maybe, hopefully, I can just swap in a new one.

That's fucking gay though as I've only put <500 rounds through the rifle total.
>>
>>33171784
certainly not. The handle spring is only to help the handle fold forward

There is your problem.
>>
>>33173340

why, just get PTR to fix it and pay for shipping both ways

try to make them give you an extended charging handle for your trouble

Put a longer one on you fuckboy.
>>
>>33171576
>If i dont slap it home and put the bolt into battery i can still pull it normally.
That's because it's not in battery.
>>
>>33173340
Basically you're a pussy, they're just naturally hard to pull back.
There is nothing wrong with your rifle, just you.
>>
>>33169620
sounds like your rollers are too big or something, making it lock up too tight.

So tight that the mechanical advantage of the lever trying to pop it open isn't working anymore.

What does your brass look like?

Keep in mind, I have zero experience with G3s.
>>
>>33169620
rollers out of spec, or the trunion is backing in.

shit taste

(you)

>>33176606
If the rollers worked before theres no reason for them to not work now. Bolt gap is in limits.

>>33176856
>trunion backing in
can you elaborate?

I rattlecanned it to match with a different stock a long time ago. Honestly, I find the black on the wide handguard to look pretty uggo.

It was tougher for me to get a good grip on it enough to get it off the hatch. Bought an extended cocking lever and the angle makes it a lot easier.

It's occasionally still a bit tough, though I've really just told myself to get used to yanking real good. Really though, the handle made a difference despite being a little bit longer. Never putting the factory one back in. It was a bitch and a half to try and get that stupid fucking spring back in.
>>
>>33178932
I might get one then.
I like the gun but you have to be enthusiastic about pulling that charging handle back.
>>
>>33178348
>do HK slap

Are you fucking retarded? How many shitposts is it going to take to satisfy you?
>>

This whole site is full of nogun retards.
>>
>>33179106
you read:
>>33171576
>If i dont slap it home and put the bolt into battery i can still pull it normally
if you ease it down it will be out of battery
>>
>>33179187
>>33179106
I think you two are confusing each other about the directions of down and forward.
>>
>>33169620
Well my Cetme that's in all practicality extremely similar has a camming action on the charging handle to unlock the bolt when you rotate it outwards, and it acts on a flat surface at the end of the charging handle tube. Check to see if there's any interaction that's supposed to be happening there to cam open the bolt.
