/k/ommandos, I call upon you to help me get some info on this rifle. My libcuck cousin inherited it, and gave it to me because she knows I like guns. I will post pics of all markings on it.

Looks like either a gewehr 98 or a Turkish mauser.

looks like a yugo m48 that's missing half the upper handguard

The fact that she gave it to you instead of taking a hacksaw to it is encouraging.
You should show your gratitude by giving her the D.

Spanish Mauser Model 1916 short rifle, second pattern. Caliber originally 7x57mm.

>M16 7mm Spain
So I would assume that it's a Spanish 1916 Mauser chambered for 7mm Mauser. Pics from a quick google search look pretty close too

This is interesting, that means it could have possibly been used midway thru ww1, shame it's not all matching. (bolt has been replaced)
Maybe I should go hunting for some Austrians soon.

Spain didn't fight in ww1

She gave you a rifle because she thought you might appreciate it even though she doesn't. Don't bad mouth your kin.

The only combat your rifle likely saw was in the Spanish Civil War.
