Is this kino an accurate portrayal of UN incompetence?
If you need a badly executed movie to lecture you on just how incompetent the UN as a whole (and their security forces in particular) are, you should turn off your computer, stand up, turn around, and look for a way to shed your mortal coil immediately.

Dude, it's the U.N. Any type of portrayal of incompetence is accurate xD
Has there ever been a UN operation that wasnt a complete clusterfuck and/or disastrous failure?

>an accurate portrayal of UN incompetence
Fairly well, but it got the battle itself pretty wrong.
There were over 150 potatoes fighting against the Congolese, not the squad sized element as portrayed in the film.
It's been a while, but I don't remember any night scenes though the siege lasted almost 4 days.

They mentioned in the movie that they had a 150 men force, but for some reason you only saw the same 5-10 actors the entire time.

The question wasnt wether the UN is incompetent, but rather wether the movie was accurate or not.

Only thing I kept thinkin about was "Rhodesians never die!" every time I saw an FN-FAL xD

The Korean War was technically a UN operation. Other than that, it's hard to think of one.

I would, but I'm too lazy

just find a convenient place and die there, then. Should only take a few days.
